The workshops
These three relaxed days, or more if you would like to stay longer at Bella Vista, are designed not only to help improve your fly fishing tying and casting but to also provide you with concrete experiences across all three disciplines. You can effectively put into practice your learning not only during the three days but also for the season of 2014 and beyond. We hope to be able to integrate your learning experiences across the workshops in other words each of us, Glenda Brian and I, will, over each workshop, bring personal observations and your specific requirements to the next stage of your learning, simply put this is not a workshop designed just to learn how to tie a fly, or learn to cast it or cast it better, or how to fly fish for bass! There is the opportunity at each level to bring your newly tied creation onto the Cork coast, to bring your new found casting experiences with you and who knows perhaps be guided to an opportunity for you to cast to an early spring bass or sea trout. Not only have we decided to do this once but to also include a second opportunity to help integrate your experiences in a practical manner over a sequence of two short workshops. Each participant will complete two workshops in each discipline over the three days. Through the experience of each workshop, coupled with time to reflect on what you have learned and through the concepts discussed we can then apply the learning to real life guided fishing. What happened during the session? What is its significance? What will I do as a result? At the end of each session Glenda Brian and I will bring both your personal requirements and our gathered observations and feedback both to each other and the group participants. Go Learn the principles behind tying a flatwing fly improve your casting for bigger flies cast and drift the fly in current on the Cork coast Lets not forget there is time too to relax, chat and share experiences in the friendly atmosphere of the Bella Vista Hotel no doubt we can chat and learn from each other! I hope to also bring you a unique opportunity to cast with and learn from a FFF DH instructor Jason O Riordan using BEULAH DH surf rods and specific SERUM taper matched salt water lines on Wednesday afternoon.

Please see below a provisional itinerary of events as planned at this stage. This is merely indicative and will be firmed later next week As the group fills I will send each participant a short questionnaire to best fit your requirements to a working solution.
