FULL NAME:Li Che Lok Robert (ID card name) ENGLISH NAME:Robert Li STUDENT NO.:3035034000 EMAIL ADDRESS: u3503400@connect.hku.hk CLASS: CAES 2802 GROUP: DAY(S) OF LESSON(S): Tuesday
Specific goal: Distinguish the differences between perfect tense and past tense, continuous tense and present tense Rationale (How will this learning goal help you with one of the 2802 course assessments?) The use of perfect tense, past tense, continuous tense and present tense was a big problem when I was doing my proofreading test. I discovered that most of my errors were related to these tenses. For example, I didnt know the differences of perfect tense and past tense. Tenses are very important in the use of english ( to indicate the time of events). Learning about these tenses will help me in almost all of the assessments in 2802 , for example, Speaking tests, writing and proofreading. Possible materials (i.e. resources) and methods (i.e. activities, strategies, techniques). Refer to sections 3.1 and 3.2 of the SALL Support Pack for ideas. Visit the Student Advisory Services Zone and seek for help. Ask tutors if there are any points that I dont understand. Go to BBC Learning English website() and read the rules about these tenses. This website also provides grammar games and quizs. Anticipated outcome or progress (See sections 2.1 and 2.3 of the SALL Support Pack on making goals measurable and achievable): It is expected that I can get a higher mark in the past papers. I want to correct at least 80% of errors (in the proofreading tests) that are related to tenses correctly without adding any kind of mistakes. Write my article without any kind of mistake related to tenses
Speak without any kinds of mistake related to tenses in the speaking test. Estimated Time Needed: 6-7 hours (more time is needed )
