Tenders are invited from suppliers / contractors registered with the Ministry of Finance (MOF) or Kementerian Kewangan (KK) / Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor (PKK), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and C onstruction Industry Development Board Malaysia (C IDB) for supply / work as follows:-

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) intends to construct an additional hydroelectric generating unit (Unit 5) with an installed capacity of 12.3 MW for the C henderoh Hydroelectric Power Station located in the State of Perak, Malaysia. The main work includes Design, Manufacture, Supply, Delivery, Erection, C onstruction, Testing and C ommissioning of 1 X 12.3MW Double Regulated Vertical Kaplan Turbine & Generator Unit, ancillary M&E equipment complete with New Intake, Penstock, Powerhouse, other related C ivil Works and extension of the existing 132kV Switchyard. The specifications are detailed out in the Tender Document. TNB hereby invites Tenders from prospective Tenderers with relevant experience, financial capability and resources as detailed out in the Qualification Requirement to participate in above mentioned Tender Documents. A complete Qualification Requirement for the Tenderers is included in the Instruction to Tenderers (ITT) of the Tender Document. The prospective tenderer must have the following key qualification criteria or combined qualifications in case of Joint Venture/ C onsortium; * Major hydroelectric plant manufacturer * Proven capability and experience in implementation of similar hydroelectric project Foreign Tenderers are required to form a joint venture or consortium with capable local contractor(s) to maximise local participation. The Tender Documents will be available for purchase starting from 17th December 2013 to 1st March 2014, for interested tenderers or their authorized agents to purchase from the office of the Head, Shared Purchasing Department, Procurement Division, Level 1, Generation Building, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, No. 129 Jalan Bangsar, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during the following working hours: Monday Thursday Friday 8:30 a.m. 12:00 noon 2:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. 8:30 a.m. 12:00 noon

The document fee for one set of Tender Document is RM2,000.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Two Thousand Only). Payment for the document, which is non-refundable, is to be in the form of Cash or Bank Draft, made in favour of Tenaga Nasional Berhad at TNB Payment C ounter, Level 1, Generation Building, TNB Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur where a receipt will be issued. Tenderers are required to submit a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase together with their Tender submission. All cost incurred in relation to the Tender shall be borne by the Tenderer.

Payments for the tender document should be made in C ash / Bank Drafts / C ashiers Order at the following time:Monday - Thursday Friday Payments made are not refundable. Tenderers are required to produce the original certificate of registration and photocopy with KK/PKK/TNB and CIDB when buying the tender documents.
