How to write a good Academic Paper An Academic (or Research) Paper is the final stage of a researchers work.

Analysis and conclusions of hard work are embodied in a certain amount of pages in order to present them to a public that knows little of the development of the research itself. Therefore, it is necessary for the paper to be written correctly so it can explain the authors idea in a way that is clear for everyone, making the research known to everyone interested. There are certain steps that need to be taken in order to elaborate a proper Academic Paper, regardless the topic, field of study or language. This reading passage will highlight said steps in order to provide an easier writing time for the reader. Step 1. Brainstorming. In other words, meditation with a pen in the hand. A research paper requires deep analysis of ideas attained by experience, experiments or data bases and original insights that teach new ideas of this acquired knowledge. Hence, before the paper is started, it is essential to organize ideas, accentuate their importance, and make a connection between in order to create a path to acquire new awareness through the presented paper. Step 2. Pick a thesis. It is not enough to have a topic, which might be wide and unspecific. It is important to pick the best idea of the topic in question and generate a clear assertion on which to base the entire essay. The thesis, thus, becomes the main point: a concise sentence that shows where the paper is going since the beginning with the purpose of avoiding confusions and granting an objective. Step 3. Create an Outline. Before starting to write, a basic sketch should be done to describe the order of the paragraphs and the contents of the dissertation. A good mapping of the structure of the argument leads to a unification in the ideas, avoiding unnecessary and inconsequential statements. Step 4. Making an Introduction. This is the first step of actually writing the paper. It should be done so the readers attention is captivated from the beginning and should clearly present the concerning issue that leads to the thesis. It is designed to present the argument and, while some facts might create a more serious argument, it is not advised to pour a great amount of data and proofs right at the opening. Step 5. Writing the Paragraphs. The paragraphs should be focused on an idea so the combination of them creates a conveniently structured essay. Sentences should support assertions and present evidence to expound the ideas clearly. An important issue when writing sentences inside the same paragraph is the need to unite ideas between sentences. If ideas are not joined by auxiliary words the paragraph might seem to lack

sense and will show as unnecessary while the truth might be the exact opposite. Step 6. Reaching a Conclusion. The ending will possibly be harder to achieve than the beginning. A graceful exit can be achieved by making a wrap-up statement or presenting an interesting concluding idea. After this steps are done, the researcher will have a completed Academic Paper that will need a last revision in order to check the language. That is, there is a need to purge grammar and spelling mistakes to give a professional presentation to the essay.
