The course aims to develop students speaking skills for effective communication in diverse contexts. It likewise endeavors to enhance their listening skills in carrying out meaningful transactions needed in real communication situations making them communicatively competent.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the students should be able to: 1. develop effective listening and oral communication skills for small group, dyadic, and public communication; 2. demonstrate an understanding of the communication process variables which they need to know as they interact in the social world; 3. employ effective listening strategies in given real-life situations or contexts; 4. use technological devices for interpersonal and transactional talk, intercultural

communication, and extended communication; and 5. present original speeches using various modes of delivery and analyze their own and others speeches.
