Kyle Lutzka Intro to Crim. Conviction 1. Chapter 1 pg 16.

Few people are aware of the occurrence of the vast ma ority of

crimes.! I think this "uote #isagrees with this movie. In this movie everyone knew a$out this case. %o in this occasion I $elieve people knew a$out Kenny going to ail. &he me#ia I $elieve #oes portray a lot of the crimes. &hey ust hi#e it an# talk a$out the more important stuff that sells first. '. Chapter ' pg (). &he $ook talks a$out ( types of law. *n# in the movie Kenny

goes to ail for criminal law! &hey agree with each other $ecause Kenny is thrown in ail for a criminal case that #eems him as a mur#erer. &he + in#e, crimes are all consi#ere# this an# are in the seam category as criminal law. -e went to court an# the ury foun# him guilty. (. Chapter ( pg 6(. &he $ook talks a$out homici#e an# how there are three separate

categories. -omici#e is the killing of a human $eing $y another. .enerally homici#e is #ivi#e# into mur#er/ an# manslaughter. Furthermore each is #ivi#e# into #egrees such as mur#er in the 1st #egree. 0ur#er is often thought of as worse consi#ering there is planning involve# an# it was not #one with ust heat of the moment/ or passion. 1. Chapter ) pg 11(. &he law of the lan#! &his part of the $ook #oes not agree

with the movie $ecause the $ook talks a$out how in the mi##le ages people woul# use what was calle# &he law of the lan#! which $asically meant they woul# use torture to get people to a#mit guilty. &o#ay an# in the movie this is o$viously not the case. 2e can only use torture for certain things an# a mur#er to a common man is not one of them.

Chapter 3 pg 1+4. &he current status of woman in policing! In real life woman

play less of a role than men in policing. %tu#ies show that woman have the same skills as men. &hey #o ust as goo# if not $etter in police aca#emy than men. 5ut for some reason they #on6t make it to the ne,t level. In the movie they have a woman cop that arrests Kenny. &he $ook says that men e,pect woman to fail as a police offer an# treat them with more of a negative action so they get turne# off $y $eing a police. In ur$an areas woman make up less than 1' percent of the force. In rural it6s less/ only + percent are woman. I like the fact that the $ook ha# a woman involve# in the police team. 2ho knows if the police making the arrest in real life was a woman or not $ut either way. It was goo# for the woman. 6. I thought this movie was a goo# movie. 7very time you think of watching a movie

in school you think it6s going to $e all e#ucational an# $oring $ut this was a goo# movie that I woul# have en oye# outsi#e the class. I thought it was very $elieva$le how close 5etty an# her $rother were $ecause in real life $rother an# sister usually are close. 87specially when you6re ol#er9 I think he is lucky they were that close or 5etty woul# no have went $ack to school. &hey kisse# each other on the cheek an# forehea# which is kin# of weir# I think $ut I guess that is how people were $ack in the #ay. &he story ha# a real happy en#ing $ut they left out the part that -e #ie# 6 months after getting out of ail.
