)his project entitled =BUG DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM> is created using !P#6%) as 7rontend and (!=!@$ !erver as Backend# )he Bug -atabase (anagement !ystem is a web based application that can be accessed throughout the organiAation# )his system can be used for logging defects against an application:module" assigning defects to individuals and tracking the defects to resolution# )here are features like email notifications" user maintenance" user access control and report generators in this system#

)he project has been planned to be having the view of distributed architecture" with centraliAed storage of the database# )he application for the storage of the data has been planned# Using the constructs of (!=!@$ !erver and all the user interfaces has been designed using the !P#6et technologies# )he database connectivity is planned using the 8!@$ Connection9 methodology# )he standards of security and data protective mechanism have been given a big choice for proper usage# )he application takes care of different modules and their associated reports" which are produced as per the applicable strategies and standards that are put forwarded by the administrative staff#

)he entire project has been developed keeping in view of the distributed client server computing technology" in mind# )he specification has been normaliAed up to B67 to eliminate all the anomalies that may arise due to the database transaction that are e;ecuted by the general users and the organiAational administration# )he user interfaces are browser specific to give distributed accessibility for the overall system# )he internal database has been selected as (!= !@$ server 033C#)he basic constructs of table spaces" clusters and inde;es have been e;ploited to provide higher consistency and reliability for the data storage# )he (!=!@$ server 033C was a choice as it provides the constructs of high=level reliability and security# )he total front end was dominated using the !P#6et technologies# t all proper levels high care was taken to check that the system manages the data consistency with proper business rules or validations# )he database connectivity was planned using the latest 8!@$ Connection9 technology provided by (icrosoft Corporation# )he authentication and authoriAation was crosschecked at all the relevant stages#
