Team dynamics can be termed as the unconscious and psychological factors which determine the direction and behavior of a team. Team dynamics are formed by the personalities of the team members, the nature of the team work, the working environment and the relationship between team members. Team dynamics can have positive as well as negative impact on the performance of a team and the organization at large. They can improve the overall team performance and can also cause unproductive conflicts within the team. The importance of leadership in maintaining the good internal dynamics cannot be neglected, as it totally depends upon the ability of the leader to identify and fill the gaps

Recently, Ms. Sara joined the marketing team in Smart Advertising Agency. Her inclusion in the team sparked friction within the team as every change and suggestion she presented was resisted. This badly impacted the team performance and draws the leadership attention. Looking at the importance of Team dynamics, Identify the roles/functions of the leadership in team dynamics and suggest what role will the leadership play in this scenario?
