Notes Before using the product, be sure to read Lenovo Safety and General Information Guide first. Some instructions in this guide may assume that you are using Windows 7. If you are using other Windows operating system, some operations may be slightly different. If you are using other operating systems, some operations may not apply to you. The features described in this guide are common to most models. Some features may not be available on your computer and/or your computer may include features that are not described in this user guide. Users of Windows preinstalled computers should create a system recovery disc via Lenovo OneKey Rescue system as soon as possible. If the computer fails to boot up due to a system malfunction, the recovery disc can be used to restore the system to the factory default setting.* * The recovery disc is not supplied with the computer. Installation discs for preinstalled application software are not supplied with Windows preinstalled computers. You can visit the Lenovo Idea product support site to find all preinstalled software downloads. By default, you can find some installation backups for certain reinstalled application software in the APP folder under the D driver. Please login to Lenovo Idea product support site http://support.lenovo.com for services such as downloading the latest drivers and patches, warranty registration, technical support and technical call center phone lists. The LCD display provides brilliant visual output. The stereo speakers provide rich and powerful sound. Press this button to turn on the computer. Press this button to open OneKey Rescue system (If OneKey Rescue system has been preinstalled) when the computer is powered off.

The built-in microphone (with noise reduction) can be used for video conferencing, voice narration, or simple audio recordings. The touchpad functions as a conventional mouse.

System status indicators GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) switch (Select models only) Memory card slot
Slide and release this switch under Windows operating system to switch the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) mode used by the system.

Use this switch to turn on/off the wireless radio of all wireless devices on your computer.

Battery latch - manual Battery pack Battery latch - spring loaded SIM card slot (Select models only)
The manual battery latch is used to keep the battery pack secured in place. For details, see Using AC adapter and battery on page 14. The spring-loaded battery latch keeps the battery pack secured in place.
Notes: In order to be able to insert a SIM card into this slot, you must first disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery pack. For details, see Using Mobile Broadband (Select models only) on page 29.
