I also wanted to have a fairly even number of male and female participants as I want my magazine to appeal to both genders.

Question 3 From the 40 yes responses- how do you read magazines

I then asked about the type of magazines read. The results told me that for maximum sales I needed to produce an interesting and engaging print magazine which made references to the webzine. On the webzine I should also refer to the print magazine. This use of multiple platforms will extend my potential readership.

Indie featured heavily in my survey as best music at 22/40 or 55%. This supports my idea of an Indie magazine. The most popular selection of typical price is 2-3.99. Monthly was the most popular buying interval. The pie chart Needs of readers in survey shows that the main need identified by the readers is to gain To gain knowledge information. Escapism The second Entertainment main need is Belonging for entertainment. The readers do not believe they read the magazine for a sense of belonging or for escapism. This might be true or it maybe that the readers dont recognise their needs. My magazine must be informative and engaging.
