High quality 50Hz and 60Hz diesel generator sets Broadcrown designs and manufactures high quality 50Hz and 60Hz diesel generator sets offering an extensive range of different power outputs ranging from 6.2 kVA to 3350 kVA (50Hz) and from 8.6 kW to 3200 kW (60Hz). Broadcrown's 50Hz generator sets are the best in the world. They are expertly designed and manufactured by us using only the highest quality engines, alternators, base frames and control panels to deliver efficient, reliable, economic power. Tailoring We offer a bespoke service to help tailor generator sets to suit your specific needs. Mechanical and electrical options are available for every range plus a selection of Acoustic solutions and Control Panels.

Standard Gas Generators Broadcrown designs and manufactures generator sets that run on natural gas.

High quality 50Hz and 60Hz gas generator sets For locations where gas is a more appropriate and cost effective choice than diesel, we offer a range of flexible and reliable gas burning generator sets. We design and manufacture natural gas powered generators from 9 kWe to 2145 kWe at 50 Hz; and 11.5 kWe to 2000 kWe at 60 Hz. Multi-generator packages are also available which utilise a range of configurable electronic controllers, varying from simple auto-start functions to multi-set paralleling and load sharing installations. The use of common design concepts across the power bands results in ease of installation, efficient running and a long working life.

CHP Broadcrown designs and highly efficient, low emission Combined Heat & Power (CHP) models.

Leading Combined Heat & Power (CHP) We specialise in bespoke CHP or Trigeneration products enabling us to tailor-make solutions to suit our clients precise requirements. The extreme fuel efficiency achieved by these products (which often approaches 90%) means that all CHP units should not only qualify for an Enhanced Capital Allowance, but also full Climate Change Levy exemption on the electricity generated by them. These products are specifically selected and designed to match the exact site conditions and incorporate a base gas generator package plus carefully selected project-specific items which may include: Comprehensive monitoring and control panel incorporating the latest PLC technology Absorption chillers for Trigeneration Acoustic Enclosure Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger for exhaust gas heat recovery Plate Heat Exchanger for heat recovery from liquid coolant MV or HV Alternator Step-up Transformer Exhaust flue Although the majority of these products are powered by natural gas, units powered by digester or landfill gas are also available.

UPS Systems Broadcrown provides a range of UPS power generator solutions for critical applications requiring continuous power.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) Broadcrown's wide range of standard and bespoke UPS systems guarantee that critical applications will continue to function without interruption in supply during a partial or total mains failure with the right level of power. They also provide: A wide input voltage range (without reverting to the battery) Clean and stable sine wave power output Higher system reliability due to inbuilt bypass function Filtration of disturbances and anomalies from the mains power supply Generator compatibility Cutting edge technology that works The Broadcrown UPS range incorporates continuous online double conversion technology which provides the highest level of power protection available. The UPS range covers both single and three phase power supply units, from 3kVA to 800kVA. It is possible to connect up to 8 units in parallel to a maximum of 6400kVA or to have N+1 redundancy.

Medium Speed Generators Broadcrown offers a range of fuel-efficient, economical Medium Speed generator sets running at 500 - 1000 rpm for prime power or standby use.

Standard Control Panels Broadcrown offers three ranges of user-friendly control panels for diesel generator sets.

User-friendly control panels For standard Broadcrown generator sets, our control panels extend from models offering basic manual and remote control of single generator sets to full synchronisation of multiple sets. We equip all of our generator sets with a baseframe-mounted control panel with integral stand and, where applicable, a circuit breaker, ensuring dependable and user-friendly operation. Acoustic Canopies Broadcrown's acoustic canopies are designed to operate in the harshest outdoor environments providing excellent security and acoustic performance.

Broadcrown has developed a standard range of acoustic canopies for generator sets up to 700kVA for 50Hz generator sets and 600kW for 60Hz generator sets. Durable and Attractive Finish All our steel canopy components are pre-treated and polyester powder coated (to a typical thickness of 70-80m) in RAL9001 white and all baseframes are finished in RAL9005 black. This, along with zinc-plated fasteners and neoprene seals, combines to produce a very durable and attractive finish. EU Legislation 2000/14/EC Our canopies reach this performance level by the extensive use of sound-absorbing, fire-retardant, polyurethane foam and efficient management of cooling air. Exhaust noise is minimized by high-performance silencers, mounted internally. Integrated steel fuel tank A steel fuel tank complete with filler, gauge and accessory points is integrated within the baseframe on all canopies. Alternatively, we can provide baseframes with a bund and separate tank.

Containerised Sets Broadcrown's acoustic containers are attractive, robust, easy to transport and deliver great acoustic performance.

Broadcrown's container packages are based on standard ISO 20 ft and 40 ft 'high cube' shipping containers for ease of transport by sea or land. Construction Our acoustic containers are fully welded and fitted with rock wool and a perforated zintec steel lining to achieve greater acoustic performance. The internally mounted silencers are custom-designed to reduce exhaust noise. Durable and Attractive Finish A two-pack polyurethane paint system provides a durable finish and all doors are fitted with high-security locks. Fuel tank Some models (dependent on engine type) can be supplied with integral fuel tank.

Broadcrown Services Broadcrown provides all the services you need to ensure that your power solution is correctly installed, commissioned and supported during its life cycle and the right training provided.

Site management As part of the installation plan, our competent mechanical and electrical installation teams supervise the offloading of all the components of your power solution and liaise with you to get their positioning precisely right on site. Complete installation service Broadcrown provide a full installation service across the UK and western Europe with factory-based installation teams. Installation services can also be provided by Broadcrown distributors, supported by factory staff as required, either from the UK or from Broadcrown's international operations in Singapore, West Africa, South Africa and the USA. Broadcrowns experienced installation teams are fully trained and equipped to undertake the most challenging of generator set and control system installations.

Commissioning Broadcrown specify the commissioning process in advance and carry it out under expert supervision.

Broadcrown's Commissioning Department comprises a team of 5 dedicated engineers, managed directly by the Commissioning Manager, bringing over 80 years of experience of standby and base load, diesel and gas engine driven generation. The primary role of the engineers is to commission generator sets in accordance with bespoke testing regimes which cover the basic functionality of the system through to the final system hand-over tests. Broadcrown commissioning engineers work on systems up to 15kV and carry with them a vast experience of operation and interfacing with LV and HV switchboards alike. Also covered within our projects are plc software and programming, HMI packages, BMS system interfacing and fuel management systems. Engineers also provide after sales support in the forms of training, load and system testing and support to our service department.
