Embroidering the spots
Using white yarn and your knitters sewing needle,
embroider a series of white marks onto the blue
part of the body in a similar pattern to the one
on the title page. The patterns on Whale sharks
are like our fingerprints, each shark is different,
so dont worry too much about getting the marks
in the right spot.

Assembly instructions
Mattress stitch along the side seam of the body from row
143 to row 1.
Fold one of the fins in half so the end stitches of row 1
meet and mattress stitch from the cast off stitch to the
cast on stitch.
Repeat this with all the fins.
Stitch the pectoral fins to the body, matching the 6th
stitch on row 1 of each fin to the marked stitches on row
83 of the body.
Stitch the dorsal fin to the body, matching the 10th stitch
on row 1 of the fin to the marked stitch on row 103 of
the body.
Stitch the first of the 2nd dorsal fins to the top side of
the body, matching the 6th stitch on row 1 of the fin to
the marked stitch on row 129 of the body.
Stitch the remaining 2nd dorsal fin to the bottom side of
the body, matching the 6th stitch on row 1 of the fin over
the white stitch on row 129 of the body.
Stitch the bottom caudal fin to the body, matching the 7th
stitch on row 1 of the fin to the 1st marked stitch on row
139 of the body.
Stitch the top caudal fin to the body, matching the 7th
stitch on row 1 of the fin to the 2nd marked stitch on row
139 of the body.
If you want to attach eyes, fix eyes in place just behind
the edges of the mouth.
Fill the inside of the shark t pad the body and give volume
to the tail.
Sew along the 1st row of the body and turn the first 55
rows inside the rest of the body.
