ThisAmericannewsclipwascreatedinanattempttoshinelightontheU2Incident.Atthe time,theAmericanpublicknewverylittleofwhatwasgoingonwiththisinternationaldisaster, andNBCgavethereportonittothehungrypublic.NBCwassuccessfulinthis,asitwasshort andtothepoint,andalsoinstilledAmericanprideandresiliencetoitsviewers.Khrushchev(or Mr.K.,asreferredtointhevideo)wasportrayedasapowerhungryextortionist.
