Teaching Practice 1 Teaching is a great area but not everybody enjoys it, maybe because is one of the most complex in which the teacher has to face a lot of things in the classroom, and the hardest thing is to know how to handle the situation in the class, and make an effective change in the students.

My experience about teaching was good; I think it helped me to know how the real role of the teacher is. I did my social hours in Universidad Gerardo Barrios, Usulutn, since May until December of 2013, I was working with students from Instituto Nacional de Santa Maria, they were basic students. At the beginning of the course I was not sure of how I would handle the situation in the classroom, I did not know the students, so in the first class I felt really nervous, what I did was to introduce myself, then the following step was the presentation of the course, and all the Units in which they would be working with my help. I remembered that in that class I stayed in just one spot, I did not move around of the classroom because of the nerves, things that are common in first classes. Well, it was such a great experience because it allowed me to know in the real life what exactly the role of the teacher is. As you know, working with teens is really hard because they are in the age of changes, and most of them do not control their behavior. I stared to work with 25 students, I thought I could not work with them, I thought they would make me give up, but through the time I spent with them I realize that working with them was easier than I thought, of course it was not easy all the time, because often they made me lose patience. My classroom experience was not so complicated; in each of the classes I was trying to do the best I could with them, every time I approached them when they did not understand something, I correct them and let them know the errors or mistakes but always in the gentlest way. Whenever students were doing questions I lean on the resources I had, and on my previous knowledge to explain, and I never left a doubt on their minds, I felt committed to them about everything they asked in class.

Most students sat in the backseat, but I was not sure about to tell them to sit in the front because I did not want to sound so bossy, then I thought about that as the teacher I had the control of the classroom; so in the next class asked to all of them to seat at the front and they did it without any complaint, I felt really good because I knew I was winning the respect of my students. At the time to work, they almost always work alone, and sometimes they worked in couples, and rarely, they worked in groups. At the beginning of the course I put my students in orderly rows because they were 25, but at the pass of the days there were less students, I had only 15 of them, so I decided to put them in horse shoe, and sometimes in circles, so they worked better in that way. The resources that I used where many, I used some software, those were a book, and two dictionaries with games, and in some classes they learn with games getting vocabulary from those dictionaries. Each time I asked something I called them by their names, because it is one of the important things in the classroom; I had a very good relationship with them; they got along each other so I easily assigned tasks to do in the classroom, I always tried to explain clearly everything, using the correct tone of voice, explaining a little bit loud and looking at them to catch their attention, so they would not asked me again what did I say, and they would be interested on what I was explaining. One of the things that was a little harder for me to do was to make them work on time, we had a span of two hours, from 10a.m. until 12p.m., so I had to force myself to try to finish the lesson on time because I could not leave a topic without explaining it and without working with the activities that it included for the next day due to the reason that each topic was scheduled. Almost always I began the lesson ten minutes later because as I mentioned, working with teenager is quite difficult, and as a young girl I think it was a big challenge for me, those students were not responsible at all with the time. I always tried to finish the lessons on time, and also I gave them 10 to 15 minutes for a break in the middle of those two hours, so they would not feel so frustrated being locked in the classroom.

Teaching Practice 3 I tried to be a comprehensive teacher because I knew that spending so much time in the classroom is not very good; I liked to make a joke occasionally, so in that way students could feel in a reliable and friendly environment but always keeping mutual respect.

My experience in the teaching area allowed me to learn many things, one of them is that being a teacher is harder than anyone can believe; it requires a lot of interest, patience, knowledge, skills, good attitude, and other things that are very important to take into account. It is a great challenge for every teacher who is committed to making a positive change in each student, and personally, I wanted to make a change in my students and even though, all the time in which I worked with them I did not get a 100% change, but I know I did something good for them, and also for myself, it was, and it is still being a very valuable experience.

In conclusion to my teaching experience I can say that I compromise myself to be a good example for my students, being always prepared for any classroom situation, I know I must know how to manage the group, and try to not mix personal issues with what happens in the classroom, I will put into practice professional ethics above all, I know that as a future teacher I am committed to make a positive change in the attitude and knowledge of students in order to be remembered as someone who guide students in the right turn, and also I want to be a teacher with principles. I will use the appropriate methodology in the classroom, because I know very well the importance of the use of good methodologies, so I will try to be a good teacher all the time, anywhere.
