1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Overview
Briefly explain the current situation of business in terms of state, current
way of functioning (problem area ... since we are dealing with academic
projects) including issues and problems. Then describe the project with the
description of an expected end state of the problem space, using the end
deliverable of the project.

1.2 Project Scope

1.2.1 The Problem
Why are we doing this project?
1.2.2 Scope
What is within scope for this project? What is specifically out of
scope?
1.2.3 Processes and Data
What would be the scope of processes used in the project. This
would also indicate what and where would the data be sourced from
used for the project.
1.2.4 High level system requirements
What are the system requirements, at a high level?
1.2.5 Constraints
1.2.6 Team coordinator/Interface for the project
Who would be the coordinator/Interface for the project?
1.2.7 Sponsor/People Involved with the project (other than the
students)

1.3 Documentation/Literature Survey Summary

This would be the place where we would capture the summary of the
background reading findings to provide visibility that you understand the
technology/have the expertise needed and you are appropriately doing
your homework for the project. This would include references of the
inference with the relevant sources whether published or unpublished as
referenced.

2 Project Approach
This is a summary view of how the project implementation approaches. This will
also form a high level project plan. This will help towards a detailed plan which
is typically done after the approval of the feasibility report.
This could indicate an iterative incremental model of investigation and refinement
of the requirements for a clear definition of the problem and the implementation
plan for the same for research/analysis oriented projects.
This could be clear demarcated model of development as a combination of
formal document process driven and agile models with the calling out of the
relevant steps which would be followed. The presentation of this could be based
on tabular form or text, but concise and clear approach must be included. For
example Planning, Acquisition, Requirement Specification, Designing,
Development, Testing and Installing etc.
Always consider the relevancy in approach factor of feasibility report. You can
customize the standard approach according to the need of your project.

3 Potential Solutions
This is the crux of the feasibility report. Potential Solutions explains that you
need to present your evaluated solution(s one by one), which would be
implemented to resolve all problems and issues of business users.
Solutions would be present in tabular format or comparison format,

3.1 Basic introduction

3.2 Required resources
Hardware, Software
What OS/platform are we building this on? Is there a need for other
software? Overload for now with language & Environment for development
of the project.

3.3 Cost/benefit analysis

3.4 Expected duration
3.5 Major deliverables
What are the major products being delivered?

3.6 Project Plan Deliverables

3.6.1 Feasibility Report
3.6.2 Requirements Document
3.6.3 Design Document

which is currently chosen?

3.9 Time commitments from Team

project
