Although the Bible does not specifically name who the Antichrist will be, it does

give us some clues as to what he will be like. Although the "spirit of the
Antichrist" (1 John 4:3) has been around for a very long time, and there were
relatively minor examples of Antichrists. I have heard people say that one of the
Popes or Charles, Prince of Wales could be him. Only God and possibly some of the
Angels or The Devil, knows for certain. He will come on the scene after a war
between Israel, Russia and her Arab allies. Ezekiel chapters 38-39 point to this
coming war. Today in 2009, everyone can see Persia and Magog and Gog are allies.
According to many, Gog and Magog are to represent Russia. The Scofield Reference
Bible's notes to Ezekiel claim that "Meshech" is a Hebrew form of Moscow, and that
"Tubal" represents the Siberian capital Tobolsk. Regardless, there will always be
those who will be skeptical. The most important idea that the word of God says to
be is ready, at all times. Or as the Boy Scouts say, "Be Prepared". Often we can
not control many things in our lives. Yet we do have some sort of control over our
eternal destiny. All can freely accept the grace of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
If you have not already obeyed the great commission of repentance and baptism by
faith in the name of Jesus Christ, (Acts 2;38; 4:12; 8:12-18; 10:36-48; 16:15/33;
18:8;19:1-5; 22:16) this would be your entrance into a life for him. This is the
first and most crucial step to reality. Jesus himself lived by every word of God,
(Matthew 4:4) and you must also. That is if you expect to hear him say, "Well
done, my good and faithful servant". It does not matter what man says about God,
(Acts 5:29) rather what God says about himself is the most important thing in
life. All will bow down to God one day saying Jesus is Lord. That at the name of
Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things
under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:11-12. We can obey God now and gain
eternal glory. Or we can pay for our own sins (Christ himself paid the price for
all sin at Calvary, Hebrews 9:15-22) for all eternity. The wages of sin is death
(Romans 3:23) but we can instead accept the sacrifice of Christ in our place by
our active faith, (shown in our baptism in his name. Romans 6:4 Therefore we are
buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the
dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.)
and his great grace. There are only two choices. God is not mocked, for whatever
you sow or plant, you will also reap. Nobody plants corn and instead reaps
lettuce. Galatians 6:7-8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the
flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap
life everlasting.

Introduction

The purpose of this bible study was to collect all of the information that the
Bible gives us about the Antichrist and to organize it together as one topic.
Perhaps this could one day serve as a checklist when a leader arises who looks as
though he may be the man. This is a attempt to answer the simple question, "What
does the Bible tell us about this person?" With this in mind to simply collect and
present the Biblical data. And to refrain from extrapolating too far from what the
Bible actually says. When there is something which is uncertain or questionable,
it is followed with a question mark.

Everyone can see that there is some overlap in the "What He Does" categories (and
possibly some others). For instance, making war against Jesus Christ (Rev. 17:14
and 19:19) would qualify as both religious and military. In these instances, They
have been simply put as to where they fit best. The categories are simply there
to help give some organization to this information and are by no means set in
stone. For a list which follows more of the order which this information is found
in the Bible (which is much better for teaching), Within the various topics, the
data is usually organized by where it appears in scripture. When the same thing is
mentioned in more than one passage, it usually went by the first passage in which
it is found, but sometimes by the one which it was thought to be more relevant.
Also listed the passages which some scholars apply only to Antiochus Epiphanes and
not to the end time Antichrist. It is a fact that there are many scholars who hold
this position.
