ABSTRACT
S52 Snakes - The Nokia inspired Snake game implemented on 8051 platform. The game is built on AT89S52 MCU. The game uses an 8 * 8 LED dot matrix display and five way keys for user interface. A dedicated delay settings key provides one touch access to the delay settings mode where the speed of the Snake can be adjusted. Actually in our mobiles we are going to play snake games but we dont know how that game implemented for that purpose we are implementing snake game by using microcontroller then every one knows how to implement hardware and develop the snake game according to our desired way we develop the coding and that one we are going to implement on our hardware. LED Matrix's are great fun you can create funky patterns, scroll messages, or create something entirely bizarre. Each matrix has 128 LEDs (64 Red & 64 Green) however there are noticeably not 256 leads. Instead the LEDs are wired into a matrix. This matrix has the LED's anodes connected across rows (8 pins) then the red and green LED's cathodes attached across columns (8 pins each). To light an LED connect its rows anode to +5volts, and through a resistor, it's columns cathode to ground. Now that we can light any LED we choose it's time to move on to displaying an image. To do this we will use a scan pattern. We scan through this array one byte at a time, displaying one column then the next. If we do this fast enough (about 1000 times a second) it appears as an image. Play around with the delay times to see the flicker.
