Human Resources Department based at Vereeniging. RE-ADVERTISEMENT Human Resource Manager (HAY BAND O) OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY The successful candidate will manage an innovative, continuously improving Human Resources Department that provides technical expertise and advice to the Vereeniging Pumping Station in all areas of Human Resources, namely: health and wellness, capacity building and talent management (including performance management and staffing), human resource information, as well as industrial relations. PRIMARY DUTIES Advocate and monitor the implementation of Rand Waters Human Resources strategy and transformation initiatives; Develop, maintain & revise guidelines for the Pumping Station in order to align the implementation of HR strategies and policies; Develop the HR Business Plan for the Pumping Station and conduct client surveys to evaluate satisfaction levels from Human Resource service offerings; Establish processes and systems to track the performance progress of the Human Resources Department against the Key Results Areas critical to the Balance Scorecard for the Pumping Station and the Human Resources Operations Division; Ensure the effective implementation of talent management and performance management systems; Ensure that recruitment, selection and placement of employees respond to changing stakeholder demands and expectations; Oversee the compilation of monthly statistical reports on human resource information to influence decision making and improvement of best practices by the Site Management Team; Oversee the compilation of the Workplace Skills Plan and the eventual Annual Training Implementation Report by monitoring compliance towards achieving the set targets; Promote proactive and reactive health and wellness programmes in conjunction with the Corporate Wellness Team; Oversee the grievance and disciplinary management of cases at Site level; Establish, update and implement an effective site communication strategy; Manage the budget for the Site HR Department and any other functional responsibilities such as asset control.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Essential qualifications and experience 5-7 years human resource experience (either as a generalist or involved in a range of specialised

role), at a managerial or reasonable functional level. Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, HR, Commerce or any HR related post-graduate qualification is desirable.
