PGDCM students have to do a 6-credit equivalent year-long project which would be included in both the minimum and maximum credit requirement for 2nd year. The 6-credit will be split between Term-IV & Term-VI equally. However, the final credit and grades will reflect in the transcript against Term-VI. Note that all students have to do a minimum of 42 credits (excluding term paper but including MRP) and take a maximum of 54 credits (including term paper and MRP) in the second year. Disclaimer: Students should go back and check the PGP rule book regarding credit rules. We would not be responsible for any mistake on their part regarding the same

Pre-Registration Guidelines (Round 1): Pre-Registration will be held in order to get an estimate of the number of students who might be interested in a particular course. This data will be used to design the slots for the specific term. It is mandatory for a person to indicate his/her choices in this phase, failing which a fine of 25 bidding points will be will be imposed for every delay of 24 hours or less. Every student will have to indicate his/her choices in accordance with the credit requirements, irrespective of caps in courses. (A student should select minimum of 15 and maximum of 21 credits for PGDM and minimum 12 and maximum 18 for PGDCM in pre-registration). The choices indicated by students in this phase will have absolutely no bearing on the choices available to the student during Final Registration. However, students are expected to take this phase seriously so that the slots prepared can cater to the best interest of the majority. The data generated in this phase would also help you decide how much to bid for a particular course if it goes into bidding. The rules are explained later in this document. Pre-Registration data helps us to develop slots for courses and though we try to minimize clashes of favourite subjects (ones with highest Pre-Registration interests), overlap of courses is bound to happen which might limit the choice of courses you can select. Selection of overlapping courses would not be allowed. Certain stipulations regarding eligibility of course have been mentioned in the course outline & course list which are to be strictly followed. In case of any offence, the selected course shall be dropped by the PGP Representatives and strict penalty shall be imposed. Final Registration Procedure Registration process will be done in four phases. They are as follows: Round 2: In this phase, the portal will be open for all courses. Students will be required to login to the registration software and mark the courses that they would like to submit an EOI (PGDM: 15-21 Credits, PGDCM: 12-18 credits). Once round 2 is over, courses selected cannot be withdrawn. If the number of registrations for any capped course is less than the cap, then students who had selected it will be compulsorily allotted the course in this phase itself. Also, selections for a noncapped course will be permanently allotted to the particular student. For rest of the capped courses, round 3(bidding stage) will be activated. Only one course in a slot can be opted for. A course can also be offered in multiple sections. In this regard, all the sections will be in different slots. The student will have an option of being indifferent. Students missing on the deadline on this will be allowed to register for only the remaining number of courses during the special round. Round 3: In case the number of registrations for any capped course exceeds the maximum student limit for that course, Round 3 will be activated for those courses. Here, students who had opted for capped course would be required to bid for the course. For more information, refer to the section on bidding. Students who bid the highest will be completely allotted the capped course concerned. This would be the final registration for those who got in all the courses that they bid.

Round Special: In this phase, the final registrations for students who did not get the desired number of courses (i.e. Students who did not get even one course through bidding) will go back to round 2 for replacement of those courses. Here they will again register for the remaining courses (non-capped + seats remaining in capped courses) and they will go through the same process again as before. This process may result in bidding again and hence round 3 and round special may be repeated. In this round, student the maximum limit on credits opted shall be equivalent to the credits lost in the bidding process. Round 4: This phase will be conducted after one week of classes has been held. Here, students who have credits more than the minimum credit limit will be allowed to drop courses as long as the minimum credit requirement is satisfied. Dropping of capped courses which went into bidding will not be allowed under any circumstance. Bidding Process: Every student will get 300 points for term 4 and 300 points for term 6 exclusively. Further, each student will get another 400 extra points which he can redistribute between term 4 and term 6. i.e. a student can bid from 0-700 points in term 4 but he can carry over a maximum of 400 points to term 6. For eg: A person who bids only 200 points in Term 4 will get only 700 points during the 6th Term and not 800 points. The remaining points from Term 4 will be carried over to Term 6. Therefore, the total number of points by a student = 300 + points remaining in Term IV (up to max of 400 points). Minimum bid for any course will be 0.Bidding should be in integers. In case you bid in fractions it will be rounded off to the nearest integer. Students who bid for a course and win the course will have to compulsorily take the course Trading/transfer of bidding points among students will not be allowed. Also, once a bid is placed, it cannot be withdrawn after submission In case a student is not allotted a course for which he/she has placed a bid, the already bid points will be refunded completely If a student selects a particular section(where a course is offered in multiple sections), his/her bids would be considered only for that section of the course Students selecting indifferent will put one bid and will be assigned a section as per the logistics convenient, if his bid qualifies In case all the sections for a course do not go for bidding, students indifferent will assigned the section which does not go for bidding Zero bid shall also be considered as a bid for the above mentioned purpose. If you wish to abstain from bidding for a course and pick up another course in lieu of this course in the special round kindly leave the bid as blank (Blank is different from 0). If there is a tie for the last few bids, the remaining seats would be allocated to the students on a random basis

The Software

Once the window is opened, you will see links to the registration software. The software is very simple and needs no advanced configuration on the part of the student. Anyone facing any problem with the software during the registration should contact any PGP Representative BEFORE THE DEADLINES.

Additional Rules 1.) In the case there are less than 10 registrations for any subject that subject will dropped due to low demand. 2.) Also, students will not be allowed to drop a certain course (Round 4) if the number of registered students for that particular course falls below 10. DISCLAIMER: Although there are several checks within the software, but the students should also ensure that they meet their lower and upper limit course requirements. They must also ensure that they do not select courses which are overlapping in the same slot. Any such incidents would invite severe punishment.
