Good morning to honourable adjudicators, fellow debaters and my fellow friends.

I as the third minister, Nuraisya Aqilah of the opposition side will put forward my contention with very strong proof. First of all, I want to represent my team to tell all of you that INTERNET DOES NOT BRING BIGGER INFLUENCE THAN NEWSPAPER. Newspapers have a great influence on society. If you go to ancient times, people used to start their day with Newspaper. Newspapers keep people informed about economy, political activities, games, science, education and local news of their city. It gives a true and correct picture of society, country and other foreign countries. It also help us to educate people about their rights, their duties etc. While electronic media and other form of media doing the same thing. But In India 72% people live in villages. They do not have access to these forms. Therefore print media plays a very crucial role. How about the rural area, isolated area? According the Percentage living in rural areas by country, the most is in Bhutan, 91%. And even in Malaysia theres 36%. So, did rural area can receive internet connection. Of course, not. So, how about the poor people, can they afford the bills of internet? According to the statistic of hungry people in the world, there is 925 million hungry people in the world. They even cant afford to buy food, will they afford to pay the Internet bills? According the statistic of poor people in the world, India is the most poor country where there is 41.01% of poor people and China is the second. There is 77 countries in the list. Fortunately Malaysia is not in the list. My fellow government side debaters, we should look at our world globally, Internet connection problems is not happen in Malaysia but in many countries. I can see through the situation in the world globally, thats why I am able to tell you. Newspaper is easily available, anytime and everywhere to anyone. How can you disagree that newspaper brings bigger influence than Internet. There is a lot of newspaper, BBC News, News Strait Times, Star, Metro Newspaper. Our information are also gained from newspaper like Hindustan News and Borneo Post and even the most famous newspaper throughout the world, New York Times. How can you tell me that newspaper did not influence us? Reading newspaper can enhance our vocabulary skills. I know Internet can do such things but most of the articles in the internet using short forms that can ruined our grammar. Thank you can becoming TQ. Did you realise that the word O-K that we said daily is a short form? Actually it should be O-K-A-Y. Newspaper shows real world situation and happening. It is mirror of truth. We get the which we doesn't know. It is beneficial to educated as well as uneducated people. It is distributed at every part of country. People believes on newspaper which are well known. Some people develop their career using newspaper. It became a part of our life. It is useful commercially as well as routine works. It is means for increasing business through advertising. It gives political events, financial position of country, future prospectus etc. Since its cost is very less hence it is economical to all category people in world. It affect share market situation by news related to it. It stores event, which we can read even after gap of certain period. It is available in all languages so all type of people can read it and gets benefited. It tells happening of nearby states, country. It is good media of publicity and advertising. It teaches us good manners and build good relation with other. Some newspaper are greatly attracts children which build their career and develop their overall personality. From the contentions that I had put forward, I strongly disagree with the motion INTERNET BRINGS BIGGER INFLUENCE THAN NEWSPAPER. Thank you!
