Description of Contribution:
It is my honor to nominate Lindsey Cooper McDaniel for Advisor of the month for the
month of August 2009. During August 2009, Lindsey has had several things on her plate
included but not limited to opening a new complex on campus, assisting with the
planning and implementation of RA Training, assisting with a campus wide move-in, and
serving as the Advisor of RHA (Residence Hall Association).

During this month Lindsey spent a great amount of time with duties regarding RHA and
went above and beyond. Lindsey trained all of the Graduate Student Advisors, gave a
presentation to Resident Assistants, and made sure that RHA was a part of RA Training.

Also, Lindsey was taken almost all of her weekends during August to dedicate to her
work in Housing and Residence Life, one weekend was devoted to having a retreat for
the Executive Board retreat and making sure the new executive board was training and
transitioned. The next weekend Lindsey spent it with the new Area Chapter members to
train them on what RHA is and what their position entails.

As well, Lindsey has worked tirelessly over this past month assisting with the move and
setup of the new RHA Suite. Lindsey has been a part of everything from making sure
that doors were installed, keys were given, computers were ordered and even to
physically moving and organizing all of the items into the new suite.
Over the past month Lindsey has given so much of herself to RHA to prepare them for
the 2009-2010 year that there is no doubt in any of our minds that RHA will continue to
thrive on UNCW's campus!

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to nominate this extremely hard working
woman for your recognition!

3-4 Sentence Summary of this OTM:
Lindsey Cooper McDaniel worked hard with preparations for the 2009-2010 RHA and
with its inclusion in the August RA Training at UNCW. Also, she worked hard to open
the brand new residence hall area. This involved training RAs, setting new standards, and
devoting the majority of her time to residence life matters.
