loyal service ever since. Played 7'66 first team games before the start of this season.
JOHN GREEN-Mid-field player with First Division experience. Eight seasons with Black-
pool and joined Vale in 1967. Went to Vancouver for a season and back at Vale in 1968.
/ ERIC MAGEE-Recent signing from Oldham Athletic whom he joined for £5,000 from
Glenavon three seasons ago.
BOBBY GOUGH-Versatile young player signed by Vale last season after trial. Previously
with Walsall.
KEN WOOKEY-In his first season with Vale, having been signed on a free transfer from
Newport County in the close season. Had spent seven years with Newport.
JOHN JAMES--Hails from Stone, StafEs. Former defender converted into a bustling
forward last season. Ungainly yet effective.
TOM McLAREN-Hard working robust Scot from Edinburgh. Normally a forward.
