This reference guide is intended as a quick reference for verification and troubleshooting commands often used in the CCIE Voice track. Commands are grouped into relevant sections where they are most commonly used.

CUCME Telephony Operations / IOS Call Routing

Show and Test Commands:
show telephony-service: Displays configured settings for the telephony-service call processing service (SCCP). Note that in version 4 and above, not all configurable settings are shown. show voice register global: Displays configured settings for the call processing service (SIP) show voice register pool X: Displays configuration and registration information for voice pool X, where X is the configurable tag number of each SIP phone. show voice register dn X: Displays configuration of DNs (numbers) for SIP phones. show ephone: Displays current/recently registered e-phones. Use the registered flag to only displayed actively registered phones. show ephone-dn X: Displays information regarding ephone-dn X. Including the automatically created voice-port associated with the DN. show ip dhcp binding: Display all DHCP address bindings. Including macaddress and lease expiration times. show call active voice: Display all active calls, including call leg information for each call control protocol. show voice translation-rule: Display the configured translation-rules, and applicable settings, such match and replace patterns. show voice translation-profile: Display the configured translation-profiles, and the rules they match for incoming/outgoing calls. show dial-peer voice: Displays all details related to configured dial-peers. Useful for checking matching patterns and associated ports. test voice translation-rule X YYYY: Test the configuration/operation of translation-rule X, using pattern YYYY.

Debug Commands:
debug tftp events: Displays debug information related to the internal TFTP server. Useful for troubleshooting phone registration and firmware conversion. debug dhcp detail: Displays debug information related to the internal DHCP server. Use this command to troubleshoot DHCP bindings to phones. debug ephone register: Debug the registration process for SCCP phones. Use the mac-address flag to specify a single phone. debug voice register errors/events: Debug the registration process for SIP phones. Use the error flag to only display errors, and the events flag for all related information. debug voice call digitcollect: Debug the digit collection process between the phone and router. All entered digits will be displayed.

Show and Test Commands:
show voice port: Displays status of manually and automatically created voiceports in the system. Also shows channels or timeslots per port. show isdn status: Layer 1/2/3 Status of configured ISDN circuits (T1/E1) show isdn service: Displays channel status of ISDN circuits. Including manual configuration of busy out. show isdn history: Displays current and last 100 calls for a 15 minute time period that utilize the ISDN circuit.
