3.2 Spotlight
A new Spotlight LTE KPI 4G 3G/2G Missing Neighbor Analysis has been implemented in order to help building the GSM and UMTS neighbour list of the LTE cells in a network. At every location bin, Spotlight determines the best sector for each EARFCN from either LTE scanner or handset data (LTE handset data is only used if no LTE scanner data is available). If the strongest LTE sector is weaker than a threshold, Spotlight uses the GSM and UMTS scanner data to determine what neighbours should be added, retained or removed from the intertechnology neighbour list.
October 2012
The following parameters can be configured: LTE coverage criteria applied on each bin: it may not be required to look for possible inter-technology neighbours in places where LTE coverage is good. GSM and UMTS coverage criteria: a cell is not a suitable intertechnology neighbor for an LTE cell if its signal is too weak, if it is too far from the LTE cell, or if it is seen only rarely as a possible neighbour. The maximum number of GSM and UMTS neighbours that can be defined for the LTE cells is also configurable.
[Case 66837] The Missing Neighbours tab has been improved in order to be populated with correct results for all known logfiles.
October 2012
