Lesson Aims:
1. to introduce vocabulary related to animals;
2. to enable pupils to use the verb to have with nouns;
3. to practice I have + noun;
4. to play a game in order to express what they have;
Didactic Strategies
a. methods and procedures: conversation, explanation, dialogues, presentation.
b. materials: textbook, cards, blackboard, CD-player, CD.
Organization: class-work, role-play, pair-work, individual-work.

Activity 1-Discussing homework and warm up


Aims:
- to raise students awareness of the topic

- to be aware of the importance of doing homework


Procedure:

Teacher asks pupils if they like the animals.

Teacher asks pupils to listen to the tape and pay attention to the boy.(My pets

Track 08).

Teacher asks pupils some questions: Whats the pet you have heard?; Can you tell

me three colours you have heard?

Teacher checks written homework.

Activity 2-Viewing and discussing


Aim:
- to introduce vocabulary related to the topic;
Procedure:

Teacher shows pupils cards with animals which includes a rabbit (Annex 1), a cat

(Annex 2), a bird (Annex 3), a fish (Annex 4) and a dog (Annex 5).

Teacher asks pupils what animal is illustrated on the first card, using the answer I

have a rabbit.

Teacher asks 4 pupils to come in front of the class, each pupil receives a card with

an animal and they have to follow the same procedure.

Teacher writes the sentences on the board.

Teacher asks pupils to write the sentences in their notebooks.

Pupils have to solve the exercise 1 from page 36, to read the sentence and to

match them with the pictures.

Activity 3
Aim:
- to enable pupils to use the verb to have with nouns;

- to practice I have + noun;


Procedure:

Teacher shows pupils some objects from the class ( a book, a pencil) and then

asks them to say what he has in his hands. You have a book.

Teacher makes up sentences using I have, You have while performing. He writes

them on the board.

Teacher asks pupils to solve the exercise 1 from the page 37.

Teacher asks pupils to read the exercise.

Teacher asks pupils to translate the sentences and help if necessary.

Activity 4
Aim:
- to practice I have + noun;
- to play a game in order to express what they have;
Procedure:

Teacher asks pupils to solve the exercise 2 from the page 37.

Teacher asks pupils to read the exercise.

Teacher asks pupils to translate the sentences and help if necessary.

Teacher asks pupils to play a game, in pairs, what the colleague has on his desk.

Teacher asks pupils to make up sentences (orally) using the construction He/She

has + noun.

Teacher asks pupils to write down a few sentences.
