What is Horizon?
Horizon 14, a cultural extravaganza or an annual event of Nirma University where students, faculty staff, and the local community have the best possible opportunity to express themselves through music, dance , poetry and other cultural talents. Horizon provides one of the best possible platforms pan India to blend and interact with a crowd of over 15,000 people. This includes the people from different colleges across India, different communities, various companies. A crowd comprising of all age sections including the young ones, the youth, the middle aged and the elderly. Last year, a participation statistics of over 4,000 was the highest recorded participation in Gujarat with that in line of the festival of IIM AHMEDABAD (Chaos). The costliest performer of Bollywood, the very popular Sunidhi Chauhan rocked the stage of Horizon 12 last year. Along with her, the very famous DJ Rink got the crowd to dance on her tunes.

Horizon is a masterpiece in itself comprising of various art forms and decorations all around the campus of Nirma University. Apart from the Nirma campus, the entire city is filled with hoardings and banners of the cultural festival Horizon. We receive sponsorships from various national and international companies. Every year the budget of the event and the size increases at an exponential rate.

Banners and Standees


Company would be provided space for banners at prominent locations in the campus during three days of events. Company will be given prominent place for standees in the campus during three days of the events.

Event Posters
Three rounds of publicity posters are sent across 250+ colleges of India This posters will be put at least for three weeks prior to the event Companys logo would be present on the posters as the sponsor for horizon 14

Concert Passes
Company would be given fixed amount of horizon concert passes and company could carry out informal competitions through its own outreach and give away these passes as incentives during their promotional activities within the campus

The event will be presented as RCNI and XXX(Your Company) presents Horizon14. The company would be allowed a product launch during the night events. Two gates(if provided) of the company will be put up at both the sides of the ground i.e. Entry and Exit. Two dropdowns will be put up on both sides of the main stage during night events. The company would be allowed to put up two Standees at the main entrance of the night event. The audio/video ads of the company will be played during the time of the event at the respective venues including the night events. The sponsor name and logo will dominate all the newspaper advertisements. Concert passes will carry the name and logo of the company at a prominent place.

All banners and posters issued by Horizon14 will carry the name and logo as the Chief Sponsor for the event. The company will be provided a dual stall (10ft * 10ft each) at a prominent location in the campus from where it can carry out its promotional activity. The leaflets, pamphlets, scheme brochures etc will be distributed to all the participants along with the kit. 100 passes will be provided to the company: (60+30+10). Company name will be mentioned during all official announcements on main stage during the event. Full page advertisement in the next years Reckon. Name and logo on the cover page of the booklet provided to every participant of Horizon14. The sponsor banner and standees will be displayed at the prominent places like canteens, grounds in Nirma campus during the three day carnival. All the three sides of the ground will be covered by the sponsor boards on the barricades that will encircle the VIP sitting.

The companys name and logo would appear on all volunteer T-shirts, bandanas and the identity cards worn on the day of horizon. So, nearly a branding amongst minimum 16,000 footfalls. Every volunteer would wear the companys cap (if provided) on the day of the events. All Outdoor Publicity Acts such as Hoardings, Banners and BackDrops shall carry the name and logo of the company. The sponsor name and logo will be featured in the festival website with an active link to sponsors website. The company logo will be present on all the trophies and certificates for the event.

The event will be title-Sponsored by XXX(Your Company). The company would be allowed to put up two Standees at the main entrance of the night event. The sponsor name and logo will dominate all the newspaper advertisements. Concert passes will carry the name and logo of the company. All banners and posters issued by Horizon14 will carry the name and logo as the Title Sponsor for the event. The company will be provided a dual stall (10ft * 10ft each) at a prominent location in the campus from where it can carry out its promotional activity. 70 passes will be provided to the company: (40+20+10). Half page advertisement in the next years Reckon. Name and logo in the booklet provided to every participant of H14.

Association Sponsor ( Amount: INR 5,00,000)


The event will be Declared in association with XXX(Your Company). The company would be allowed to put up two Standees at the main entrance of the night event. The leaflets, pamphlets, scheme brochures etc will be distributed to all the participants along with the kit. The sponsor name and logo will dominate all the newspaper advertisements. Concert passes will carry the name and logo of the company. All banners and posters issued by Horizon14 will carry the name and logo as the Association Sponsor for the event. The company will be provided a dual stall (10ft * 10ft each) at a prominent location in the campus from where it can carry out its promotional activity.

50 passes will be provided to the company: (25+15+10). Name and logo in the next years Reckon. Name and logo in the booklet provided to every participant of H14. The sponsor banner and standees will be displayed at the prominent places like canteens, grounds in Nirma campus during the three day carnival. Every volunteer would wear the companys cap (if provided) on the day of the events. All Outdoor Publicity Acts such as Hoardings, Banners and BackDrops shall carry the name and logo of the company. Co- Sponsor ( Amount: INR 2,50,000)


The event will be Presented as Co-Sponsered by XXX(Your Company). Concert passes will carry the name and logo of the company. The company will be provided a dual stall (10ft * 10ft each) at a prominent location in the campus from where it can carry out its promotional activity. 20 passes will be provided to the company: (25+15+10). Name and logo in the next years Reckon. Name and logo in the booklet provided to every participant of H14. Company will be allowed to put 5 standees and 2 banners during the event. The sponsor name and logo will be featured in the festival website with an active link to sponsors website.

Promotion through Social Network


Promotion of the event through Facebook page as well as Twitter updates on Twitter Various online quizzing contests will be carried out to promote horizon which will add mileage to the sponsors Brand

All horizon mailers will include the name of the company as the sponsor for horizon 14 We have a database of 6000 Nirma university students and over 8000 participants of previous editions of horizon SMS idea was our Sms partner last year

RCNI owns a domain in the name of www.rcni.in which had received over 10lacs of hits prior to the events Companys Name and logo along with the active link will be present in the sponsor page.

Our Social responsibilities


RCNI has also been a torch bearer in organizing various social activities. RCNI has organized visits to Vikas Gruh Orphanage and Visamo kids with a support of over 300 volunteers bringing various gifts and spending time with the under-privileged. Team RCNI has also visited Jeevan Sandhya Old Age home where they shared joys, sorrows and tribulation of old people. Every year, RCNI sets aside some budget to carry out its social responsibilities. Last year, out of 33 lakhs, 2 lakhs were used for various social causes like getting snacks, food ,essential items and gifts for underprivileged and also for donation. RCNI also organizes Blood Donation Camp twice a year collecting immense units of blood from its donors. Last time, we had collected 414 units of blood.

Ek Ummeed is the social initiative taken up by RCNI this year. RCNI had a meeting with head of Chharodi Village where it got to know about the low education rate, lack of internet facilities and lack of provision of regular medical check ups. Taking a step forward, Team RCNI organized a visit to the village assisted by over 100 volunteers and spread awareness about the importance of education through a street play.

KHWAHISHEIN

Khwahishein-Adopt A Wish,Make A Differnce! as part of RCNIs social initiative Ek Ummeed, where in RCNI aimed at fulfilling the wishes of the under-privileged section of society. 140 wishes had been collected, with the aim of contributing to the society and improving lives. Wishes were adopted and fulfilled voluntarily by individuals who wished to extend their support for the betterment of society. The project implementation was a two-step process- collecting wishes and adopting them. A detailed form regarding the particulars of the concerned was filled and a photograph of the concerned was sent at khwahish@rcni.in. The wish list was uploaded and thus adopted. The project commenced on April 5 and was completed on April 29. The volunteers collected wishes from all over Ahmedabad, ranging from Maninagar to Chandkheda, Vastrapur to Bapunagar. Individuals approached included domestic helps, labourers at construction sites, gardeners, watchmen, sweepers and others who strive hard to earn a living off their daily wages. The number of volunteers who worked with the project was more than 200. Wishes had been categorized into five types, comprising of basic necessities like clothing, food, schooling, self-empowerment, health care and entertainment. Out of the total wishes collected, 60 individuals wished for basic necessities like food supplies for 15 days, new clothes, 37 for schooling, stationery, school uniforms, books, 19 for self-empowerment means like sewing machines, table fans, utensils, and 3 for health care services and 11 for entertainment/rejuvenation like toys, one time dinner at a decent restaurant. Individuals belonging to all age groups i.e. children below 18 years (kids/teenagers), 18 to 30 years, and 30 to 60 years and above had been included.

The adopters of the wishes either provided funds or personally went to fulfil the wish. For the first category, the expenses incurred on clothes were Rs.1000 on an average, and the ration supplies for 15 days cost Rs.700. In the second category, the amount spent on books was Rs.700 while that on school fees was Rs.300. In the third category of self-empowerment means, a sewing machine cost R.3500 and a bicycle was for Rs.3000. All in all, the total expenditure on this project was approximately Rs.1,50,000.

Adopt A Wish was the first project of its kind taken up in our University, appealing to the social conscience of all the students, not only the RCNI volunteers, and bringing them together for a noble cause. The intention was to meet out the social responsibilities, along with effective management of academic work. Understanding this responsibility, members of RCNI had put up posters, information desks around the campus and canteen, to spread awareness about this project. Also, various public portals like Facebook, Mail had been used as a medium to reach out to a large number of people to fulfil these wishes. The response received was overwhelming, owing to the simplicity of the adoption scheme. Giving away a few pair of clothes and utensils may not have made quite a difference to us, but it made a huge difference to the recipients. The sight of the sparkle in their eyes when their wish was fulfilled left an astounding impact on the adopter and sensitized one to a greater extent towards an individuals role in the society.
