2.4 Creating Floppy Installation Disks

The Craft Terminal is distributed on CD-ROM only. However, it is possible for you to create a set of floppy

floppy disks:
1.

You will need a PC with both a CD-ROM drive and a 3 floppy drive to create the floppy disk images.

2.

Insert the NM2100 Craft Terminal CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.

3.

Open a Windows Explorer, locate the CD-ROM, and open the FloppyDisks directory. This directory
contains a number of subdirectories, each named disk<n>, where <n> is a number.

4.

Determine the required number of empty 3 1.44 MB floppy disks by finding the directory with the
highest <n> number.

5.

The FloppyDisks directory also contains a command file called CreateFloppyDisks.bat. This file will
aid you in creating the floppy disks correctly. Execute this file as follows:
CreateFloppyDisks <floppy drive:>

where <floppy drive:> should be the name of your floppy drive (for instance a:)
6.

Make sure to label each floppy disk with the following information: NM2100 Craft Terminal, release
<release number>, build <build number>, disk <disk number>. The command file will tell you when
to insert which disk.

Note: Do not call the command file called CopySingleDisk.bat directly. This file is called from the
CreateFloppyDisks.bat file.
