After entering Qatar you will have to go for a complete Medical Test and if passed on the test, then

you will have to go for finger printing with CID (Criminal Investigation Dept.). When finger printing is done, you will have to get your RP (Resident Permit) stamped on your passport. All this process may take upto 15 - 30 days or even more. You will have to register online for the Medical Test and the date maybe after one month. In normal case, the date of medical test is given after one month from the date of registration. I don't know whether there is any exclusions in the case of HMC. Once everything is done and the RP is stamped on the passport, you can apply for the visit visa for your family.

Following are the requirements to apply for the visit visa

1. Copy of front and back page of your passport 2. Copy of R.P page on your passport 3. Copy of your Qatari I.D Card 4. Three months bank statement duly signed by the authorized signatory of the bank 5. Your marriage certificate (Must be attested by from the ministry of Home Affairs - India) and after entering Qatar, get it attested by the Indian Embassy in Qatar followed by an attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Qatar.

Fill up the form, attach all the above docs with the application form and apply with the immigration department of the State of Qatar. The visa will be issued in three working days.

Once your family is here, to apply for a family visa, you will have to go for the same procedure.

First medical of your family and finger printing. They will get a temporary visa stamped on their passport. which is extendable upto six months. You can stamp the visa straight away for six months @ QAR.250/Month for single person.

During this six months, you complete the family visa procedure. Apply with the same docs. with family visa application with some additional docs... such as.. your Educational Certificates, and an NOC from your Sponsor. Educational Certificates must be attested from india (MOE, HRD) followed by an attestation from Indian Embassy in Qatar and from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar.

Immediate family members (spouse or children) of those who have a Work Residence Permit and who earn more than QR 7,000 a month, can apply for a Family Residence Visa. Male children must be below the age of 25. There is no age restriction for daughters, provided they are unmarried.

The cost of the visa for the spouse and children may or may not be covered by the employer.

The following documents are required:

Completed application form Passports and copies for the sponsoring person and all applicants Copies of Work Residence Permit of the main sponsoring person Copy of the employment contract specifying the wage of the main sponsoring person No-objection certificate from the employer Copies of the marriage certificate or birth certificate of the applicant (whichever is relevant), and education certificates. Certificates must be attested by both the country of issues foreign office plus the Qatar embassy Proof of address (such as a utility bill) of the principal family member As with the Work Residence Permit, the sponsoring employer of the principal family member takes care of the administrative procedures in many cases. These are similar to the procedures listed in the Work Residence Permit section.

All family members must undergo the medical test and have fingerprint records taken. The application form can be downloaded from Hukoomi, and submitted to the Ministry of Labours Department of Employment.

Family members can enter Qatar on an Entry Visa. The application procedure can take up to six weeks to complete. Family Residence Visas must be renewed prior to expiry. Temporary family visas are also available. Spouses (usually wives) on family sponsorship are not officially allowed to work unless they receive permission from the Ministry of Interiors Labour Department who may issue a work permit.
