Earthworm An earthworm has a muscular body. Its body is divided into rings or segments.

There are tiny bristles on the lower part of each segment. With its slimy skin, the movement of its muscles and the tiny bristles, an earthworm is able to move through the soil. Earthworms munch their way through the soil in search of dead plants to eat. They spend most of their lives swallowing earth underground. Leaves of deciduous trees fall in autumn. They are full of nutrients from the energy of the sun. Earthworms drag leaves from the surface and eat them. As they chew they swallow bits of earth which mix with the dead plants. 1. (A) The earthworm has slimy skin so it can sworm about in the soil. And it is also to keep the worm moist so it will not shrivle up and die. (B) Yes (C) Their skin needs to be moist in order to breathe. That's because earthworms breathe through their skin. Also, moist skin makes it easier for earthworms to move through their burrows. If an earthworm dries out, it will die 2. Yes 5. Earthworms have small and stiff bristles called chaetae that help them stay in place as they burrow. These bristles are on everybody segment except the first

Fish

2. The movement, which confuses predators, happens because fish detect pressure changes in the water. The detection system, called the lateral line, is found along each side of the fish's body. Along the line are clusters of tiny hairs inside cups filled with a jellylike substance. If a fish becomes alarmed and turns sharply, it causes a pressure wave in the water around it. This wave pressure deforms the "jelly" in the lateral line of nearby fish. This moves the hairs which trigger nerves, and a signal is sent to the brain telling the fish to turn. 3. Fish take short rests and they sort of will stop swimming i had severums that would sleep on there sides and their eyes would be like weird looking i always thought they were dead but they were just sleeping

5. Fish Fish live in water all of the time. In fact they cannot breathe air and they die very quickly if they are out of water. They have special structures called fins which help them to move through the water. The body of a fish is long and thin and pointed at both ends. This is called a streamlined shape. A streamlined shape moves faster through water than other shapes. This is because it can cut through the water more efficiently than other shapes.

The tail (caudal) fin helps the fish to move forward quickly. the back (dorsal) fin keeps the fish in a straight line as it moves forward. The tail of the fish is mostly made of muscles. These muscles contract to move the tail from side to side. The pectoral and pelvic fins are in pairs. These are not used for fast swimming and are held close to the body. They are used when the fish is turning or is moving slowly. they help the fish to keep its balance Frog
