Statement of Purpose

I reckon it as an opportunity and privilege to let me say something about myself by way of introduction. I am HimakarNannapaneni, an undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering from koneruLakshmaiah College of Engineering (Autonomous).The sweeping changes in the Global Industrialization and Design Engineering have made the role of mechanical engineer a really indispensable one. It has been my deepest desire to be a part of this rapidly burgeoning community.

I look forward to further improve my knowledge and skills in Mechanical Engineering and relaedfields, and for this I think a M.S. program will be an ideal step followed by a Doctorate degree in the same. I intend to pursue my M.S degree at your University, which I believe will give a direction to my goal of a successful and challenging career as a research professional at a premier institute replete with excellent research facilities and academic activity. My years in school, apart from providing a strong foundation in Math and Basic Sciences, also enabled me to develop my overall personality.I was also appointed as monitor of the class. Being an avid student in school days, I actively participated in science workshops. It gave me deep appreciation for science and my quest for more led me to choose Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as my majors at 10 + 2 level. A fascination for science and keen interest in the ever growing world of technology motivated me to take up Engineering and I chose to major in Mechanical Engineering for my under graduation with an intense urge to delve deeper in to the challenging field.

Till date my scholastic and academic performance has been good and I am determined to pursue the same path of academic excellence. The qualities needed to excel at the juncture can be attributed to the worthy values which were instilled during my upbringing in the early influential years in an educated middle-class family.

I may not be out of place, to state that I have an excellent academic record right from my school level to under graduate level. It has been my cherished desire to pursue graduate studies in U.S. The academic milieu and good infrastructure facilities of research available in U.S. are the attractions, which enticed me to choose U.S. as natural destination for graduate studies and research. The excellent research facilities, eminent faculty and the vibrant atmosphere of the University have really attracted me. I am enthusiastically looking forward to embark on a career of full time research, which will allow me to be involved in analyzing, comprehending and solving various problems in experimental and computation research in the field of Mechanical Engineering. I am aware of the kind of patience, dedication and perseverance needed for such a research and I believe my background shall place me in a unique position in exploring the emerging technologies and methodologies of the field. I am confident that with my knowledge and experience finally I am a hardworking and honest student and I would be glad to be a part of your research community.
