Progeny Testing Programme

Under PT programme 196 bull`s 3.3 lakh test insemination have been completed up to 2008. out of them 154 bull`s Breeding value available. Top 34 bulls declared as proven bulls and their breeding value ranging from +518.15 to +178.59
Since Nov.2008 Mehsana district had made MoU with NDDB for PTP and up to august.2012 in two batches 15 and 20 bulls total 35 bulls have completed test AIs.

Mehsana union had put a sub project proposal for production of HGM buffalo bulls through progeny testing program and got it approved on 16th Nov.2012.
At present Union is implementing 17th batch of Mehsana Buffalo for progeny testing in field area of Mehsana milk shed in 58 identified AI Centre.
