FEATURES OF A GOOD PARAGRAPH

A. UNITY - A unified paragraph is a paragraph which has an introduction that clearly presents the TOPIC SENTENCE, supporting details that support the topic sentence, and a conclusion that effectively restates the topic sentence and puts the paragraph to a close. Example: Antonio always gives people the impression that he is tired. Because he was requested by his mother to close the main door, he hurriedly obeyed, but his pace was as fast as a turtles with broken limbs. Some people always walk slowly. He appeared to have had a hard days work, and the first impression everybody in the family got upon seeing him was a picture of exhaustion and fatigue. C. ACTIVITY : Read the paragraphs below. Identify the topic sentence, supporting details and the unrelated sentence. 1. An Ifugao house is built on four tree trunks. The Ifugaos are highlanders.
