. She made an air kami undo his sandals so he would trip, in return he used an a ir spirit to remove her yukata. She yelled at him about how she was now unfit to marry, so he said that he would take responsibility and marry her then. They we re together until one fateful day she was told that she would have to marry anot her man. She ran away, preferring to forget all about Hodei than to betray him. Once Hodei heard this, he couldn't live whilst knowing that his love was not wit h him. So he set out, hoping that true love would conquer all and he would find her again. On this path as well, he see's that to attain enlightenment is the on ly way to be happy. So he wishes to understand this world and retire in peace wi th his love one day. After leaving, while on his search he found his way into on e of the secret bases of the shadowed tower, hoping she was there. She was not, and they were very unhappy with him at first. Struck by his natural intelligence , they struck a deal with him: He would be allowed to live, they would help him find his lost love, and find a way for them to be wed if he would become an agen t for them. He agreed, and so learned their way of maho magic. Now he has set of f, once again in search of her. Along the way it is known that he as a member of the Agasha family, is quite good at assisting in resolving conflicts that invol ve magic.
