In my view there may be 100 solution for a single problem in which the method which is traditional, full of effort, fall rise and than fall type is the hard work. Rather then smart work is the way to choose the efficient way by logical analysis.

According to me hard work is often mistaken as "tough works" where it actually is combination of dedicated, focused and sincere work, because as we all know that there is no substitute for "hard work" for the successful outcome. Now answering to actual question I would say that the only difference between the 2 is that "smart work" is incomplete without "hard work" but not vice versa. But the real key point I would stress on in accordance 2 the question is "hard work and smart work put together can make the real difference". !

First of all, both are important and respectable. But for accomplishing tasks, it is important to pursue the job smartly. Hard working is simply putting your health and brain in the work, without moving a bit anywhere. Smart work is a clever addition to that and simplifying the task through smart moves, which complete the task without much labour and with even better perfection. For managers at executive positions or any decision maker, it is important to work smartly in addition to hard work.

There is a misconception that smart workers do not work hard. But I feel smart work involves a lot of hard work : first to plan things appropriately and then to execute the plan. Lincoln once said "If I were to cut a tree in 8 hours then I would spend 6 hours in sharpening my axe!". Thus smart work is nothing but hard work with some thought.

But if you work smart as a staff you never enter into the next stage as well as if you work hard as a HOD, you will not suitable for that position. This will incorporate for all organizations.
