Waterside Full of Christmas Cheer!

Community and Team Members were wrapped up in the Christmas spirit last month during many of our festive events. It all began the last week in November when we started decorating for our 2nd Annual Family Christmas Brunch, hosting a total of 124 friends and family. The Lifestyles Department then teamed up with Cody Party Mart to decorate the bus for the Carleton Place Santa Claus Parade. A big thank you to all the little reindeer and elves who participated on the bus or walked and passed out 2,000 hot chocolate packets along the parade route. Santas helpers were busy shopping and wrapping presents for our special family angel tree and brought a wonderful Christmas to a local family with 8 children. On December 12th, Waterside hosted a Christmas Open House event with a total attendance of 140 people enjoying country music, a harpist and guitarist and loads of delicious treats sponsored by our Community Relations Department. Team Members found time to squeeze in a party of their own on December 13th at Generations Inn, where many enjoyed a night of good food and lots of dancing. Special surprise gifts for Community Members popped up a couple of times in various programs in the month of December, too. There was a new addition of two crokinole and checker boards for our pub games and a new bingo machine for the large group of bingo players that gather Wednesday nights.
