INTRODUCTION
In a fast-changing world, what worked yesterday probably doesn't work today. Peter.F Drucker father of modern management theory argues that much of what is now taught and believed about the practice of management is either wrong or seriously out of date. Management thinkers are agreeing on the notion that as the professionals advance deeper into the knowledge economy, the basic assumptions underlying much of what is taught and practiced in the name of management are hopelessly out of date. Todays leaders and/or managers are dealing with continual, rapid change. Managers faced with a major decision can no longer refer back to an earlier developed plan for direction. Management techniques must continually notice changes in the environment and organization, assess this change and manage change. Managing change does not mean controlling it, rather understanding it, adapting to it where necessary and guiding it when possible. In the future organizational decision-making will be more peerbased; the tools of creativity will be widely distributed in organizations; ideas will compete on an equal footing; strategies will be built from the bottom up; and power will be a function of competence rather than of position. As per the views of Great Management Guru, Sh. C.K. Prahlad volatility is the biggest issue concerning business men who had never dealt with volatility like this before and many are not sure whether they have a effective business model to deal with such factors and their way of dealing can make or break the organizations in the days to come. The Conference theme Managing Global Business in Turbulent times tackles the key issues facing managers regarding how to manage in rapidly changing environments.Authors are therefore encouraged to address topics on theme which have had a pivotal or significant impact on industries, firms and academic communities Objective : In order to provide an exchange platform for researchers on management both at home and abroad to share the new ideology, new theory, new methodology and new achievement of management theory and practice, to accelerate the exchange between India and world management science domain and the innovation, and as well as to promote the international research on Indian management science issue, the Punjab Commerce and Management Association (PCMA) along with Chandigarh University plans to hold the 10th International Conference on Managing Global Business in Turbulent times from 1st February, 2014 to 2nd February 2014.
