> even after our legendary 10th anniversary year has passed, life
continues apace. We face new goals and new challenges. for us at
corinthia, 2014 is the year of new momentum, in the course of
which we will be revealing many new features and improvements.
We will happily share those news with you as we go along, as
those change are being made for you, our valued customers. your
corinthia magazine launched one year ago and we are delighted
to report that it has received a great reception, so we will be
continuing our monthly newsletter packed with hotel and city
news, background info and programs in order to help our guests
orientate and inform themselves during their stay. following in
the wake of the mass of seasonal events, far from taking a break,
we have a whole series of new programs lined up. our themed
sunday Brunches get off to a star-gazing start with an astrology
theme, enabling us to learn what the future holds. January 12 is a
red letter day for elvis presley fans because that is when the King
will be centre stage at the Brasserie & atrium restaurant. for those
who are a bit hazy about scottish cuisine, this is the month we
serve up some of scotlands most characteristic dishes, and for
anyone who, in the post-holiday season, still hankers after
chocolate, our chocolate sunday Brunch is sure to fit the bill. our
rickshaw restaurant showcases specialities from one of the
countries of southeast asia, namely vietnam.The royal spa has a
great way of soothing body and soul in these chilly winter
months: a truly hot lava stone treatment. and, we are pleased to
introduce front office administrator rbert Bakos and our usual
extensive program guide of whats on in the capital.

How long have you worked at the hotel?
since october 21, 2002.
Which areas have you worked in, and where are you now?
i started as an assistant Bell captain, and as of 2005, october 1, am front office
coordinator.
What are your duties?
Basically, i carry out front office specialist (managing, filing registration formsindividual reservations etc.) and non-specialist (hr, finance, stocking-procurement
etc.) administrative tasks. as well as this, during peak times, when front office
sections are seriously overloaded, i assist in their work (escorting guests, presenting
rooms, arranging room accoutrements, delivering various urgent items, mailing,
supervising baggage in the lobby etc.). i frequently have the chance to put my
knowledge of russian into practice helping russian-speaking guests who know
little or no other foreign languages in different areas of the hotel (f&B, spa, etc.).

> let the crystal ball foresee your future! its the start of a brand-new year, with all sorts
of unknowns ahead. find out what may be in store for you over the coming weeks and
months from a genuine fortune teller. as for the immediate future, one thing is
guaranteed: the Brunch year is off to a glittering start with the focus on sparkling wines
and their different production processes, as explained by our expert sommelier. Well
also be serving delicious ham cuts, lucky lentil soup and fortune cookies.
elvis Brunch
preparaTion
preheat the oven at 210 c.
make the sponge base: Whip the egg white with sugar until stiff, then mix in the flour,
ground almond and ground cinnamon.
place the mix on silicone baking paper and cook in a pre-heated oven at 210 c.
make the ganache: heat the cream with trimoline (invert syrup) to 90 c; pour on to
the combined milk chocolate, dark chocolate and almond praline. When the ganache
has cooled to 40 c, add the butter and mix to a smooth consistency using a blender.
make the almond cream: heat the milk, cream, sugar and egg yolk to 84 c; add the
soaked gelatine sheets then pour onto the white chocolate and mix using a blender.
finally, stir in the ground, roasted almonds, place in a fridge and use the following day.
To finish and compile the esterhzy cake: When the sponge bases were cool down
spread evenly the ganache onto the layers.
To serve, decorate tastefully with the cold almond cream. in addition, you can use
white chocolate layers, crispy wafers or pickled cherry as well.

rickshaw restaurant in corinthia hotel Budapest have decided to
present some of the best dishes to the highest standards using
authentic ingredients. however, guests not only experience
vietnamese dining but they are also introduced to the culture and
traditions of vietnam. The 4-course menu includes Banh cuon (fermented rice batter
stuffed with seasoned pork and mushrooms), pho (noodle soup), Bun cha (grilled pork
and noodles with a tasty dip), and Bahn cam (deep-fried rice balls). on arrival, everyone
is offered ch, a sweet drink made from mungo beans, fruits and coconut milk, and
naturally traditional vietnamese tea is also served throughout.

> a taste of things north of the border. on the day after Burns night, our scottish
Brunch features fine food and beverages from scotland: beer soup, hearty and warming
haggis, whiskey marinated ribs, steaks, chicken wings, and naturally a tasting session from
the great whisky-producing regions of the highlands, lowlands, islay and campbell town.
all this northern feasting is enhanced with the unmistakeable sound of the bagpipes
played live by scottish pipers.

renaissance drawings and prints, as part of Triumph of perfection raphael exhibition can be
visited between December 18 and march 30, at the museum of fine arts. The museum presents six
drawings by raphael and each significant print made in close collaboration with raphael. The
sixty-five masterpieces in the exhibition demonstrate raphaels genius as well as the next
generations relation to his unparalleled artistic legacy. it is the first occasion that the esterhzy
madonna has been exhibited in the context of drawings. The exhibition was preceded by a
detailed technical examination of the raphael drawings, which will be first published in the
catalogue accompanying the show.
