Comprehensive Screening Panel (Combination Of Inhalant, Contact, Food Allergens)
20 to 30% of Indian population is considered to be affected by one or more allergic diseases including millions of children. The number of people who
have severe allergies has risen dramatically in the past decade. Each exposure to an allergen, for example peanuts can cause a stronger reaction
leading ultimately to very serious consequences. Find out with one simple test, what you are allergic to and prevent a severe allergic reactions.
This is a simple blood test that can screen for multiple of allergens at one shot. The Comprehensive Allergy Screening Panel tests for allergies and
sensitivities to food, inhalant & contact allergens in one single test and pinpoints the probable culprit allergen(s) causing allergies.

Allergic Asthma
Allergic asthma, or allergy-induced asthma, is the most common form of asthma. If your asthma
is allergic, your symptoms are most often triggered by inhaling allergens. An allergen is a
typically harmless substance such as dust mites, pet dander, pollen or mold.
If you are allergic to a substance, this allergen triggers a response starting in the immune
system. Through a complex reaction, these allergens then cause the passages in the airways of
the lungs to become inflamed and swollen. This results in coughing, wheezing and other asthma
symptoms.
Exposure to allergens may trigger the symptoms, but the real culprit in allergic asthma is the IgE
antibody. The IgE antibody is produced by the body in response to allergen exposure. The
combination of the antibody with allergens results in the release of potent chemicals called
mediators. The mediators cause inflammation and swelling of the airways, resulting in
symptoms of asthma.
Some people with asthma do not have allergies. Asthma symptoms may also be triggered by
exercise, viral or bacterial infections, cold air or by related conditions such as gastroesophageal
reflux disease (GERD).

Rhinitis Mini Panel Rhinitis Maxi Panel
Rhinitis Mega Panel
Allergic Rhinitis
Allergic rhinitis is caused by allergens like molds, pollen and animals. These are substances which
are usually harmless, but can cause allergic reactions in certain people.
Allergy symptoms are the result of a chain reaction that starts in the immune system. Your
immune system controls how your body defends itself. For instance, if you have an allergy to
pollen, your immune system identifies pollen as an invader or allergen. Your immune system
overreacts by producing antibodies called Immunoglobulin E (IgE). These antibodies travel to
cells that release histamine and other chemicals, causing an allergic reaction with symptoms
such as sneezing, stuffiness, a running nose, itching and post-nasal drip.
People with allergic rhinitis are also prone to itchy, watery eyes (from allergic conjunctivitis), and
they may be more sensitive to irritants such as smoke, perfume or cold, dry air. Rhinitis can
contribute to other problems such as asthma, sinus or ear conditions, or trouble in sleeping.
Allergic Rhinitis Triggers
Seasonal allergic rhinitis, commonly known as hay fever, is triggered by outdoor allergens such
as pollen and mold spores. Some people have symptoms year-round due to indoor allergens
from pets, mold, dust mites and cockroach residue. This is called perennial allergic rhinitis. You
can suffer from either seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis, or a combination of both.

Allergic Conjunctivitis
Allergic conjunctivitis (eye allergy) is the
most common allergy affecting the eyes.
Many people with allergies get allergic
conjunctivitis when their eyes come in
contact with an allergen. The allergen
triggers the release of histamine. This
typically results in itching, redness,
burning or tearing of the conjunctiva.
These are the thin membrane lining the
eyelids and the exposed surface of the
eyes. Allergic conjunctivitis can be
seasonal or perennial. The seasonal
version is much more common. It is
related to exposure to airborne allergens
such as Grass, tree and weed pollen or
molds. The perennial form persists
throughout the year and is usually
triggered by dust mites, animal dander or
molds.
Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema)
Atopic dermatitis (eczema) is a chronic or recurrent inflammatory skin disease. "Atopic" means
that there is typically a genetic tendency toward allergic disease. Atopic dermatitis usually
begins in the first few years of life and is often the initial indication that a child may later
develop asthma and/or allergic rhinitis (hay fever).
In infants, eczema usually appears as tiny bumps on the cheeks. Older children and adults often
experience rashes on the knees or elbows (often in the folds of the joints), on the backs of hands
or on the scalp.
Symptoms of atopic dermatitis (eczema) include, patches on skin that are red or brownish, itchy
skin, especially at night and dry cracked or scaly skin.

Seasonal allergic rhinitis, commonly referred to as hay fever, affects millions of people worldwide. Symptoms include sneezing, stuffiness, a running
nose and itchiness in your nose, the roof of your mouth, throat, eyes or ears. These allergic reactions are most commonly caused by pollen and mold
spores in the air, which start a chain reaction in your immune system.
Perennial allergies may occur at any time of year - unrelated to the season - or may last year-round. Perennial allergies are often a reaction to house
dust. House dust may contain mold and fungal spores, fibers of fabric, animal dander, dust mites, and bits of insects. Usually, perennial allergies cause
nasal symptoms (allergic rhinitis) but not eye symptoms (allergic conjunctivitis). However, allergic conjunctivitis can result when certain substances are
purposely or inadvertently placed in the eyes. These substances include drugs used to treat eye disorders, cosmetics such as eyeliner and face powder,
and hair dye. The cleaning solutions for contact lenses can cause a chemical allergic reaction.

Food Allergies
People with food allergies have an allergic reaction when they come in contact with certain foods. This happens because their immune system
overreacts to the proteins present in that food.
Signs of a food allergy include:
- A rash or red, lLchy skln
- SLuffy or lLchy nose, sneezlng or lLchy and Leary eyes
- vomlLlng, sLomach cramps or dlarrhea
- Angloedema or swelllng
- Poarseness, LhroaL LlghLness or a lump ln Lhe LhroaL
- Wheezlng, chesL LlghLness or Lrouble breaLhlng
Some people with food allergies can have a serious reaction called anaphylaxis.
It is common for people and even some healthcare providers to misdiagnose the difference between food allergy and food intolerance. Food allergy
can result in a life-threatening allergic reaction. On the other hand, a misdiagnosis could mean that you are unnecessarily limiting what you eat.
