This is a brief article on what William Branham said about the plan of Salvation.

This is to point out what the scriptures say and his words. This is not to
disrespect anyone but simply point out the facts. Did William Branham believe Acts
2:38 was the only plan of salvation? We will let him answer for himself:

"I [William Branham] believe if a man was baptized wrong ignorantly [remember this
addresses Hope], not knowing that he was baptized wrong, ...Now, I can't say this
scripturally, but I believe it with my heart that if a man did not know what to do
right, and he did something to the best of his knowledge, I believe that God would
overlook that and save him anyhow" (Ibid Q. #54, p 655). Many will say to me in
that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have
cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I
profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (MAT
7:22-23)
Acts 2:38, 4:12, 8:12-18, 9:18, 10:36-48, 16:15/33, 18:8, and 19:1-5 all state the
importance of the name of Jesus to be used solely in baptism. The fact is that
Jesus alone has all power in heaven and earth. Matt 28:18 He has the wisdom and
power of God. 1 Cor 1:24 He is the only wise God. Jude 25 Paul was baptized in
faith by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus to wash away his sins. Acts 22:16
Jesus is Lord of all. Acts 10:36 Even as 1 Peter 3:21 states that baptism now
saves us. Nobody without faith manifested in action will be baptized in the name
of Jesus. Mark 16:16 Never can a person work their way into heaven yet we are
saved by his grace and our active faith. Ephesians 2:8-10 If your house is on fire
and you believed it to be, you would run out of there. You need the water to put
out the fire. Today many deny Jesus name in baptism, or call it a outward show of
a already saved person. Then Peter and all the Apostles and disciples assembled on
the day of Pentecost all lied to the 3,000 people who asked, "what must we do"?
They heard the Gospel and had faith. God had moved them and pricked their hearts.
As they wanted salvation and were not saved! Peter with the approval of the
others, said to them "Repent, and be baptized everyone of you, in the name of
Jesus for the remission (Forgiveness is it's equal.) of sins. Paul likewise is a
liar! Paul had men and women of faith baptized in the only name that saves us, The
Lord Jesus Christ. So, your church is right and the word of a almighty God is
simply wrong. The Matthew 28:19 single verse used for the trinity baptism (Though
taken out of context!) that says baptism is in the name of the father, and of the
son, and of the Holy Spirit, is right instead. The name, singular, of the father
is Jesus. As he came in his father's name. John 5:43 The son was obviously named
Jesus. Matthew 1:21 And the Holy Ghost/Spirit was sent in the name of Jesus. John
14:26 Well, I guess the Apostles and disciples are right after all. Perhaps we
should follow God instead of religions built on the philosophies of men and not
the scriptures. Acts 5:29 Paul said another Gospel than his was Cursed. Galatians
1:6-12 Jesus fought against the Pharisees who made the word of God to none effect.
Do you want a form of Godliness without the power of God. Simply do not follow
instructions and refuse the only way, truth, life, and door unto God by not being
baptized in his name. A Heretic is anybody who refuses to follow the word of God,
instead follows a denomination or theory. There are many Heretics out there
professing themselves to be Christians then.

Branham chose to reject the truth about salvation while his wife was alive. He
rejected that he and his wife must be baptized in the name of Jesus/Yeshua the
Messiah for the remission of sins. Perhaps his error here caused him to fabricate
his own doctrine of salvation wherein he could feel comfort that his wife had not
died lost in unbelief, because of his own spiritual stubbornness. What motivated
Branham to this doctrinal position? The answer is he wanted some comfort for his
own lack of spiritual leadership concerning his deceased wife Hope. Hope, his
first wife, died while a Trinitarian, had not been baptized according to Acts
2:38. This was Branham's fault. He knew and had been exposed on his way home from
his trip to Benton Harbor, Michigan to the House of David church. At this time
Branham was a staunch Primitive Baptist and believed in hyper Calvinism on
predestination (born saved or born damned). Supposedly, his wife Hope told Branham
Jesus name baptism was correct but she died without it, he remaining steadfast and
resolute in his spiritual stubbornness.

Maybe Branham's whole doctrine of salvation was founded upon him being able to
save and justify his first wife. Again, we all must go by the word of God in order
to please him who has called us. That is God. Salvation is not appointed to a
chosen few because that was already planned out that way. Rather, in comparison to
the many who reject it by taking the broad way to destruction; only a few will
freely accept it. God already knew this. He is a spirit, singular, who knows all
and needs nothing revealed to him. The spirit of God and his church, the bride,
say come. Receive salvation freely without cost to you. Everybody can drink of the
water of life freely. The Gospel is not for only a certain few, but for the whole
world to save it from certain destruction. As a watchman for the Lord God, I warn
you to please accept the truth of the word of God instead of a tradition taught to
you, that saves nobody.
Because Branham was a friend to trinitarians like Demos Shakarian, Ray Hookster
[Chaplin Ray], and helped found the Full Gospel Christian Businessman's
Fellowship, he would not say these "believers" would be lost without obedience to
Acts 2:38. His friendship to them was not wrong in itself, but like King Saul, he
feared the people more than God, to disobey him and his word. The fear of man
brings a snare, but he that fears the Lord will be saved and safe. Jesus himself
said, do not fear them which can simply kill the body. We are to instead fear the
One who can both kill the body and cast the soul into a eternal destruction. There
is a Hell to shun and evelasting life to gain by following the word. All who
follow and live Godly lives in Jesus Christ will suffer, no exceptions. But the
present sufferings will not compare to the great glory to be revealed and to be
given to us later. Regardless, the rain falls on the just and unjust. Nobody gets
out of here alive. The only time when death will not occur directly to believers
is when Christ returns for them. The dead in Christ will hear his voice and be
with him first, and then all others alive and remaining, will be translated. For
God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son to die and rise for
them. Jesus took the sin of the world to him at Calvary. He already paid the
price, so all we have to do is accept it by faith. If we believe and act according
to the word of God, then like Abraham we will be a friend of God. Was not Abraham
our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was
imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see
then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. James 2:21-24
Also many say belief alone in the One God will save you, without any resulting
action on our part. Sounds unscriptural. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and
I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith
by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils
also believe, and tremble. Are the demons or devils saved? No way. And the angels
which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved
in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Jude 6.
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? You cannot work
yourself into grace, but grace and faith will save you and that faith always has a
result. John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that
ye believe on him whom he hath sent. Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many
believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they
should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the
praise of God. John 12:42-43 This was not saving faith. These regarded men above
God. If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 Baptism in his name is a
commandment. Read Luke 24:47, John 3:5, and Colossians 3:17 among many others. He
that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that
loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest
myself to him. John 14:21 Do you want the Holy Spirit to enter in to lead and
guide you into all truth? Then follow Galatians 3:27, Romans 6:1-6, and Colossians
2:12. The plan of salvation is simple. But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from
the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3 God is not the author of
confusion. If your are confused with something such as trinity, simply drop it and
instead simply follow the word. Nothing can seperate anyone from God except
themselves. If you are willing and obedient, then it is possible to be saved from
wrath to come. To them that believe in God. Wash you, make you clean; put away the
evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well;
seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as
scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they
shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the
land:But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the
mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 1:16-20 The way of life and death is set
before you. We are all given the gift of choice. God bless all in Jesus name.
