1. A pharmaceutical company wants to expand their market. Company is a market leader in the
cardiovascular segment and has 15 years of rich experience. Its initial market survey has shown
that doctors’ prescription is very crucial in the new market and needs personal presentation by its
medical representatives. If you are a manager of that pharmaceutical company what are the
personal selling objectives you would have set?

2. A retail store in Ghaziabad is looking for right candidate to recruit as sales executive. Prepare
a recruitment and selection document to help retail store to find right employees.

3. A FMCG company selected 30 sales executives to sell their products in 30 districts of


Tamilnadu. Last fiscal company earned Rs 20 crore sales from the Tamilnadu market. It is
expecting to achieve 20 percent growth in the sales for this fiscal. Executives should meet
retailers and distributors push their products, take promotion activities, coordinate with depots,
collect market information, send reports to organization and establish good customer
relationship. You have been asked to set the quota for each sale executive.

designed for the Indian market, found by a survey at the end of one year, that most of its
potential consumers were in the awareness and interest stages of the Process of Adoption.
Formulate a one-page marketing strategy for this Company to ensure that those aware of and
interested in the machine are converted to the adopter category. (10 marks).

asked you to collect primary data and secondary data required for the research. Suggest sources

Mr. Amrut marketing manager for Marico Company is having extensive discussion with his sales
executives. The sales of parachute hair fall therapy are decreasing after the introduction of Dove
therapy by Hindustan Unilever limited. Management has asked Mr. Amrut to find the reasons for
the decrease in the sales. If you are one of the sales executive of Marico company how you
would have defined the research problem. Also, explain the sampling and measurement
techniques to be used for the research
