API 571: Supplemental Inspection Certication Program

Damage Mechanisms Affecting Fixed Equipment in the Rening and Petrochemical Industries (API Exam Preparation Training)
This course is designed to do two things: 1. Train individuals who are interested in obtaining the API 571 Inspector Certication. 2. Provide individuals with an advanced knowledge of how corrosion mechanisms drive RBI conclusions.

Course Description
Proper identication of damage mechanisms is important when implementing the API Inspection Codes (API 510, API 570, API 653) and conducting Risk Based Inspection (RBI) per API 580 and API 581. The objective of this program is to provide documented evidence of advanced knowledge and expertise in the area of Corrosion and Materials based on the information contained in API RP 571. An API Supplemental Inspection Certication is dened as Documentation that indicates that minimum requirements have been met for additional qualication in the designated area of expertise. This certicate will add value to your professional credentials and show your employers and clients that you have obtained a high level of prociency and understanding in this eld. This supplemental inspection certication program is open to anyone who is currently certied to either API 510, 570 or 653. Included with the course is a pre-study guide and student classroom workbook. The student receives instruction regarding how to take the test, as well as insight into its application in real world situations. Daily tests have been designed to gauge students prociency and understanding of the material.
Note: This does not register you for the API exam. If you have not already registrered for the API exam, you need to download an application from the API website (www.api.org/icp).
