MATERIALS A. Description: Furnish and install C/S Pedigrid II aluminum recessed foot grilles in size and system mats. Quantities as indicated on drawings all as manufactured by Construction Specialties Inc or approved equal. Tread Surface: Carpet treads shall be 100% solutiondyed nylon color as per Saudi Aramco approvals. Carpet fiber shall be fusion bonded to a rigid backing. All carpet shall be free of splices. Pedigrid II shall be one of the multiple tread options which snap lock together to comprise the overall grid length. All materials shall be prforated between each tread for drainage, fnish to be clear enodize. Framing: DP Series, pedigrid II, 1602C-LB; extruded, aluminum alloy 1 deep. Recessed frames shall be supplied pre-cut with mitered corners shipped unassembled, together with all necessary anchor pins and corner pins.

PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.01 EXAMINATION A. 3.02 Verify that field measurements are as indicated on shop drawings.

INSTALLATION A. Mat frames shall be assembled at the job site and installed so that upper edge shall be level with the finished floor surface. A cement base below floor surface shall be screeded inside the mat recess frame area, using the edge provided by the frame as a guide. The frame shall be anchored into cement with anchor pins a minimum of 24" on centers. Corner pins shall be installed at all corners. Large frames should be properly braced to prevent "bowing." To prevent tripping, recessed area should be filled with plywood prior to installation of mat. Field Measurements: After frames are installed field measurements shall be taken accurately by measuring overall width (left to right) and overall length (front to back) at three points. Diagonals shall be measured to determine squareness) before fabricating mats. Measurements shall be included on shop drawings. Cleaning: Recess shall be cleaned thoroughly by removing construction debris. Contractor shall check for uniform depth and install mat or grate per shop drawings. Trimming: For more exact fit, minor trimming may be done on all rubber or vinyl mats or mats with a vinyl edging.
