SYNOPSIS:
1980s with lurid detail and intoxicating style. Working out of sleazy hotels and abandoned warehouses, brothers Sonu (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and Vicky (Anil George) are prolific producers of trashy, Cgrade films for Mumbais booming underground market. The ambitious, domineering Vicky is the unquestioned brains of the operation, leading the dimwitted Sonu deeper into a world of alcoholic divas, sleazy money men and movieloving gangsters. But this precarious partnership is put to the test when the brothers meet Pinky (Niharika Singh), an exquisite ingenue with a shady past.

Absolut Vodka. Ahluwalia moved back to Mumbai in 2000 and started directing commercials for a host of agencies and clients who were looking for someone with a fresh, edgy visual style. As a commercials director, Ashims reputation grew quickly and he began directing commercials for major brands such as Toyota, Visa, Maruti Suzuki, Sony and Lakme while he was still in his mid 20s. Ashim is also a reputed feature film director. His film John & Jane won awards at the European Media Art Festival and the Directors Guild of America, among numerous other international awards. It was the first Indian film to be distributed by HBO Films and continued to win prizes, including an Indian National Award. His second film, Miss Lovely, was the only official Indian selection at the Cannes Film Festival 2012. The film is being released in more than 20 countries and has won Best Film awards at MAMI and IFFLA. UK publishing house Phaidon named Ahluwalia as one of the worlds top emerging directors in their book Take 100: The Future of Cinema.

NAWAZUDDIN SIDDIQUI A graduate from the prestigious National School of Drama (India), Nawaz has appeared in character roles in popular Indian films like Peepli Live, Gangs of Wasseypur, Lunchbox and Kahaani and has established a reputation as a formidable talent to watch out for. With Miss Lovely as his first lead role, Nawaz secures himself a place as one of the key faces of new Indian cinema. He plays the character of Sonu Duggal, a small time film producer.

NIHARIKA SINGH Niharika is a model turned actor and a former beauty pageant winner (Miss India) who has appeared in several music videos, commercials and reality shows. Making her feature film debut in Miss Lovely, Niharika gives what could be a star-making performance as Pinky, a struggling actress with a shadowy past.

ANIL GEORGE Anil is a stage actor from Delhi, India. His work spans classical Hindi/ Urdu theatre and improvised street plays. With Miss Lovely, Anil has made his cinematic entrance. He plays the intense character of Vicky Duggal, an ambitious but reckless C grade film producer.

Starting from a background in documentary cinema, his projects now span a wide range of projects from art house films like Mani Kaul's Naukar Ki Kameez to mainstream Bollywood films. He has a worked with Ashim Ahluwalia on his previous film, John & Jane. SANJAY SHAH (Associate Producer) Sanjay started his career with theatre production, which was followed by directing and producing nonfiction television formats for some of the leading channels in India. Miss Lovely is his first feature film project. PARESH KAMDAR (Editor) Paresh is an editor, filmmaker and academician. He has received a national award for editing the documentary Rasayatra and his own films Khargosh and Tunnu Ki Tina have been screened at various international film festivals and won many awards. PINAKI CHATTERJEE (Associate Producer) Film & Television Institute of India graduate, Pinaki Chatterjee worked in publishing before studying to be a producer in Germany. He has worked on numerous domestic and international film productions, TV series and commercials of varying budgets and has also played the role of a film buyer for World Cinema. He plans to start a film festival promotions/sales entity for aggressively promoting independent Indian films worldwide. TARUN BHANDARI (Sound Designer) Tarun graduated from the School of Audio Engineering, London. He has worked with IBF, a subsidiary of Paramount and engineered albums for West End theatre as well as numerous Bollywood and International films. Tarun had previously worked with Ashim Ahluwalia on his film John & Jane.
