ear brethren, I hope you are all doing well. By the grace of God, we are all fine. This has to be my favorite time of the year. I hope you all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. We did. As most of my family are Americans we celebrate Thanksgiving. As I am British, thats slightly awkward for me, but the food helps soothe my sense of historical loss. This Thanksgiving we had 12 people over for the meal. We invited mostly young people this year as some of them were in need of some Christian encouragement. I think it was a good success, and everyone seemed to have a really good time. Jordan did all of the cooking and as usual the food was excellent. That boy missed his calling in life. Lisas mom, Lou Miller passed away on November 24. She had been in failing health for a while. After suffering a stomach virus, her system just did not ever really recover. She was hospitalized in San Antonio. All of the family, including Lisa, had been with her on the day of her passing. She was a lovely woman and wonderful mother -inlaw. Thank you for the sympathy cards and flowers that have been sent. Lisa really appreciated them. Things are going well with the congregation. We have four new people coming now. They range in age

from late 20s to late 60s. One of them, a man called Noel, called me and asked some Bible questions. He said hed been searching for a church. I invited him to attend that evenings Bible class. Just before start time, he came in. He has hardly missed a service since. Two of the new people attending are a younger married couple who have been attending for a few months, mostly on Sunday mornings and at our monthly singings. The husband works with some people who attend a Pentecostal church. Having attended with them, he realized that it was not for him. After he and I had a conversation about baptism I suggested I would preach a sermon on the plan of salvation and some common objections made to it. I laid down the Scriptures concerning faith, repentance, confessions, and spent a long time reading and making a chart related to the scriptures on baptism. I them talked about the most common objections raised against baptism. Afterward, the man said that it had really helped him clarify his thinking on it. I offered the notes to anyone who wanted them and as there was such a strong response, I thought I would write the notes with some explanations so they could be given out to others. I hope to have them finished by this Sunday morning. The other person attending has also been visiting with us for many months. Many years ago she was baptized and spent many years going between churches. About 2 weeks ago, she placed membership with us and we are delighted to have her.

Some other news from the Grahams: We hosted a game night this past month, and it was a great success. We played dominoes, 42, charades, Jenga, and various team-based games, while enjoying snacks foods and drinks. It was a lot of fun. A tax charged to us by the local government, known as Rates, has been refunded to us after verifying that we did indeed qualify for exemption. We are using this money for some items for the building.

ona Emiliana Memorial School is located in the Philippines. It was devastated in Typhoon Haiyan that struck that nation on November 8. Nolle & Annabelle Balgua are raising funds to help this school rebuild. Can you help? If you can, please give your contribution to one of the elders, and they will include it with a check that the church will give to the Balguas.

Each Wednesday afternoon Mark and I have been going out into the community to give out tracts. We are covering some good ground. This past Sunday evening we had our congregational singing. The brethren from Westway came and it was a great night. The Tuesday evening classes are going well. At the end of the Christmas term, the ladies class always sends gifts to a missionary we support in India, and also to the local Battered Womens Society. Each Tuesday evening, the ladies bring some item that they have bought and also contribute 1 or 2 pounds to a fund. The care bags that go to the Battered Womens Society have contact information for the church included. Neta Tuggle, of Gallup, New Mexico, sent a generous supply of Mary Kay products to include with these bags. These gifts were very appreciated. June is one of the women in our congregation. She is having heart problems. Please pray for her.
