BOBON AGTA FESTIVAL 2014

January 12, 2014 Host: BCES Batches 82 & 83

CRITERIA:

1. AGRATRIBAL DANCE CONTEST


PERFORMANCE - 35%
Precision and coordination, fluency, alignment, balance, focus, projection, rhythmic and spatial interest.

CHOREOGRAPHY COSTUME

- 25% - 20%

Creativity and artistry of steps and formation, style and expression. Artistic choice of color and style, effective use of props relevant to the interpretation of the theme/ritual/concept.

PROPS MUSICALITY TOTAL Guidelines

- 10% - 10% - 100%

Effective use of props relevant to the interpretation of the theme. Adherence to the use of the ati-atihan drumbeats

Concepts or theme for costume and performance are left to the discretion of the participants based on their own interpretation of what is relevant to the Agta festival. Emphasis must be given to the concept of prayer in dance. The Sinulog beat must be used all throughout the dance interpretation however, slight variations may be allowed. Live musical or percussion accompanied must be used. Canned/taped music is not allowed. All hand props shall be carried by the dancers all throughout the parade route. Ritual presentation shall be limited to fifteen (15) minutes only including entrance and exit of dancers and drummers. Three (3) points shall be deducted from the total score against any tribe who violates this provision. Minimum number of participants/dancers is fifty (50) per tribe. Exposed faces and parts of the body of participants must be covered with black charcoal (oring) or almagre and the exposedinner garments or clothing must be black. This requirement is A MUST for all the tribe. Each group must from time to time, chant or shout-in joy, triumph and unison VIVA SENOR STO NINO! to boost the spirituality of the festival chants in all corner of the streets and failure to shout will be a point deduction on participating tribes in contest. Judging shall commence during the tribal parade until the dance presentations. There shall be judges along the parade route to ensure the continuity and orderly flow of the parade.

In connection with the church activities, all participating tribes are required to do the DIANA around town on each day of the STO. NINO NOVENARIO starting at the second day, January 4, 2014.

2. INTER-BARANGAY BADERITAS CONTEST


This contest is open to the four (4) Poblacion Barangays of Bobon: BRGY. SALVACION,SAN JUAN, GEN. LUCBAN AND STA. CLARA. The areas to be decorated shall focus on the main thoroughfare of the town. Brgy. Salvacion Shall start at the entrance of the barangay from the national highway (talipapa area) up to the boundary of Brgy. San Juan. Brgy. San Juan From the end of decoration of Brgy. Salvacion up to the San Juan Bridge. Brgy. Sta. Clara From the intersection of Brgy. Gen. Lucban and Sta. Clara up to the K of C marker. Brgy. Gen. Lucban From Sto. Nino Street (paradahan) to the gate of Marian Part, Balite Street up to the covered court and turn left up to the bridge near Rebongs residence. CRITERIA:

GUIDELINES: 1. Barangays must put-up their respective decorations on the specified areas. 2. Any fixed dcor must have a maximum visibility for the Board of Judges to evaluate the aesthetic of the decoration. 3. Use of the colourful indigenous and recyclable materials is recommended. 4. Concept for the decorations should be relevant to the festivities. 5. Judging shall commence on January 8, 2014 until January 12, 2014.

3. INTER-AGENCY BALSA CONTEST


This contest is open to all government and private agencies located at the poblacion of Bobon. CRITERIA:
THEME/CONCEPT CREATIVITY/ARTISTRY USE OF MATERIALS VISUAL IMPACT TOTAL 30% 35% 20% 15% 100%

GUIDELINES: 1. Materials for the balsa decorations should be colourful and out of indigenous and recyclable materials. 2. With at least 10 passengers for each participating balsa. 3. Balsa should be motorized and shall join in the fluvial procession. 4. There must be at least one (1) Agta (with costume)in board of the balsa. 5. All participating balsa must be properly labelled for identification. PRIZES: 1st Prize 2nd Prize 3rd Prize
