HEAD OF PROTECTIVE SERVICES (HAY BAND-M) OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the security management programme for the site including procedures and guidelines for security processes and standards. PRIMARY DUTIES: Investigation and protection as well as detection of crime in line with the Risk awareness programme. anagement of Protective Services section and providing an effective customer orientated service to the Rietvlei site. !nsuring the effective administration for the section and to ensure that all documents" registers assets and time keeping of staff is stored and safeguarded. anage" plan" develop" implement and report on financial matters concerning the Protective Services section. !ffective communications is in place within the section" S#PS and other departments within Rand $ater. Performance and resource management is evaluated and formulated to achieve the best results for the section and to improve all Protective Services staff as well as the working environment of the section. !nsure that available resources are used optimally for the section at Rietvlei. OB RE!UIREMENTS: %ational Diploma in Security Risk anagement" Policing" or &riminology. '.Tech Degree in Security Risk anagement" '# Police Science" '# &riminology will serve as an added advantage. #t least () years* e+perience in a management position within the security industry or field or sector. ,irearm competency certification !+tensive knowledge of security -physical and logical. and protective services processes. !+tensive knowledge of risk control principles and having applied these within a national key point. !+tensive e+perience in security systems as well as the development of related procedures. !+tensive knowledge of security legislation as well as security related standards. Development and knowledge of Risk management/ security management within a large organisation.
