Official Terms & Conditions for my Penang | unforgettable Photography Contest 2013

1. Theme My Penang I Unforgettable 2. Eligibility Photo Contest 2013 is open to all. 3. Sponsor and Administrator Sponsor: Thai Airways International Public Company Limited. Administrator: Penang Global Tourism 4. About the Contest Contestants are required to upload photos taken only in Penang, depicting their unforgettable experiences with accompanying captions of not more than ten (10) words each. 5. Time Frame The contest starts from 0000 hours, 20 December, 2013 (time zone in Malaysia) to 2359 hours, 29 December, 2013 (time zone in Malaysia) 6. How to Enter Throughout the contest period, you can enter the contest through Photo Contest 2013 application tab on the Penang Global Tourism official Facebook page. In order to enter, the contestants must first Like the Penang Global Tourism official Facebook page and then complete and submit the entry form as instructed, ie uploading a photo, including a caption for the photo of not more than 10 words, providing full name according to passport or IC, (for issuing air ticket), a valid email address, passport or IC number and a valid phone number. Each Facebook account can submit an unlimited number of entries. Voting may begin as soon as the entry has been uploaded.

Important: Every entry MUST be accompanied by a separate email of the entry photo to info@penangglobaltourism.com within 24 hours of the entry being submitted. Failure to do so would result in disqualification of the entry. The images submitted should be in JPEG or TIFF files. Image size requirements: a) Photo contest: Not more than 1MB b) Images to be submitted to email: 3MB 10MB Submission of entries signifies acceptance of the rules and regulations of the contest and release The Sponsor and Administrator from and against all claims and damages arising from and in connection with the contestants participation in the contest. 7. Terms and Conditions By entering, each contestant agrees to: (a) comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator which are final in all matters relating to this contest; (b) release and hold harmless The Sponsor, Administrator, Facebook and their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and any other organisations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the contest, and all of their respective past and present officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from and against any claims, expenses and liabilities (including the tax) arising out of or relating to an entrants participation in the contest and/or entrants acceptance or misuse of the price. Photo submissions must be original photos or created by the contestant and not contain any elements that are protected by someone elses copyright or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights. Photo submissions must not contain obscenity, explicit sexual material, graphic nudity, profanity, graphic violence, calls or incitement to violence, commercial solicitation or commercial promotion. The content of all photo submissions must be suitable for a global, public audience. Violators will be disqualified and entries deleted without further consideration. While The Sponsor and Administrator will exercise due care during the collection, selection and storage of images, they shall not be held reliable for any loss, theft or destruction of the images. The Sponsor and Administrator reserve the rights to change the rules and regulations of the competition without prior notice. The Sponsor and Administrator reserve the rights to modify the competition prizes and its rules and regulations as and when necessary, without prior notice. 8. Prizes Two prizes will be awarded for this contest. The 1st prize winner will receive one (1) return air ticket from Penang to Chiang Mai, sponsored by Thai Airways whereas the 2nd prize winner will receive one (1) return Thai Airways air ticket from Penang to Bangkok. Taxes and other required charges will be borne by Penang Global Tourism.

9. Selection of Winners The Sponsor and Administrator will select two entries with the most number of votes as the winners. Names of the winners will be posted on Penang Global Tourisms official Facebook page within 3 days after the closing of the contest. Selection of winners by the Sponsor and Administrator is final and binding in all matters related to the contest. 10. Verification of Prize Winners The prize winners are required to comply with all terms and conditions of the contest. The Administrator will contact winners through reasonable means, ie email and/or telephone. Should The Administrator fail to get any response from any of the first two (2) selected winners within a reasonable time, it shall be the right of The Administrator to award the prizes to the next highest number of votes. Should there be tie/ties in the number of votes, final judging will be done by The Administrators and The Sponsors panel of judges. 11. Publicity Participation in this contest constitutes all participants consent to The Sponsor and/or The Administrator to use the participants names and/or photographs for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment and consideration. However, credit will be given to the owners of the photographs.
