1.

VENUE The KFC FELDA Johor Open Regatta 2012 will be held between 28 - 30 September 2012 at the waters of Pantai Tanjung Leman, Mersing, Johor, Malaysia.

2.

ORGANIZING AUTHORITY 2.1 2.2 The Organizing Authority is the Johor Yachting Association (JYA) under the auspicious of the Malaysia Yachting Association (MYA). This Organizing Authority shall appoint an Organizing Committee and a Race Committee.

3.

RULES The Regatta will be governed by:i. The International Sailing Federation (ISAF)s Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) for 2005 2008. ii. Notice of Race (NOR). iii. The Sailing Instructions (SI) which shall be distributed to the competitors at a later date.

4.

4.1.3 Int. 420 - Int 420 Boy - Int 420 Girl 4.1.4 Wind Surfing Bic Techno 293 4.2 A minimum of 4 entries is required to form a class.

ENTRIES 5.1 5.2 Entries are open to all members of clubs affiliated to MYA, and invited clubs / associations. Entry Form (Appendix 1) must be submitted to JYA, at the following address, not later than 16 August 2012. CHARTER BOATS Our club facilities are limited. Participants need to provide their own sailboats and logistic for the competition.

8.

ACCOMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION 8.1 The nearest place of accommodation is appended below for your convenient. Participants can make reservations with the organizer or directly with the hotel.

Transportation will only be provided to participants from Sabah, Sarawak and foreign countries only.

9.

SCORING SYSTEM Scoring as prescribed in RRS Appendix A, the Low Point Scoring System will be used.

10.

PROTEST A Protest Committee will be appointed by the Organizing Committee. Decision of the Protest Committee shall be final and not subject to appeal (RRS 70.4 waved).

11. PRIZES Medals and cash prizes will be presented to the top three boats of each class with five entries or more. There will also be prizes for the overall Optimist winners and best Optimist Girl sailor.

12.

DISCLAIMER Competitors will compete entirely at their own risk and responsibility. The Organizing Authority and any other parties involved in the organization of the regatta accept no liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss or claim, whether personal or material, incurred by or inflicted to participants before, during or after the regatta.
