AUTHORITY:

A1. This Airworthiness Notice has been issued under the Authority vested in DG CAA vide Rule 4 of Civil Aviation Rules, 1994

PURPOSE:

B1. The purpose of this Airworthiness Notice is to inform all registered operators and organizations about:B1.1 B1.2 B1.3 Change of Directorate of Airworthiness from AID. Continuation of all issued certificates, Notices and Licences by Airworthiness Directorate. Issuance of new AME Licences.

SCOPE:

C1. This Airworthiness Notice will be applicable to all operators, maintenance organizations and AMEs.

ORDINANCE:

D2.1 The Pakistan Civil Aviation Ordinance, 1982 has replaced the erstwhile Department of Civil Aviation with a semi-autonomous body known as the Civil Aviation Authority (C.A.A.). D3.

CORRESPONDENCE:

D3.1 As from 7th December, 1982 the Aeronautical Inspection Directorate and its functions have been transferred to Airworthiness Directorate of the Civil Aviation Authority and all applications and enquiries hitherto addressed to A.I.D. Head Office should be addressed to HQs Civil Aviation Authority, Airworthiness Directorate, JIA-Karachi. Airworthiness Notice No.AWNOT-031-AWXX 2.0 give details of all PCAA Airworthiness field offices. All Certificates, Approvals, Licenses and Airworthiness Notices which were previously issued by A.I.D. will now be issued by CAA Airworthiness Directorate thus approvals will now be known as PCAA Approvals, Certificates as PCAA Certificates, Licenses as PCAA Licenses and Air Safety Circulars as Airworthiness Notices. D4.

STATUS OF PREVIOUS REQUIREMENTS

D4.1 Any Certificate, License, Approval or Notice Issued by A.I.D. and any ruling either general or particular given by A.I.D. will continue to remain in force until revoked or changed by the PCAA. In the case of A.M.E. Licenses the new licenses bearing the new reference will be issued when the license is renewed.

This Airworthiness Notice shall be implemented with effect from 12 May, 2010 and repeals / cancels / supersedes Airworthiness Notice No. 52 issue 1, dated 17th April, 2000.
