The Narrator
The narrator I-thought that narrates our lifes storyline, appearing in the mind, is a transient belief. It cannot possibly know the unknown from whence it emerged with its bifurcating machine. Insentience cannot know sentience. Sentience illumines the insentient. This insentient I-thought is an individual personality, a narrator of the imaginary storyline and seeker just doing its job. It is not a demon but neither is it what we are. Sometimes this rascal insists on stealing the show but the show slips away. Accepting, rather than knowing, the Mystery puts the I-thought narrator in proper perspective. The I-thought voice in the head comes and goes. It is usurping inherent existence. It is an insentient rascal. It only pretends to be what we are.

In Other Words

Truth is Not a Thought

Truth is non-physical existence. This sentient existence is immaculate and unbroken. Pure sentience cannot be objectified and known or grasped by an insentient mind. Sentient existence is memory-less, silent, seamless, still and omniscient in the most profound sense. Some refer to that as the Self without a second. The word, Truth, is a word that references this wordless ground of being that is prior to the enrobing and appearance of knowledge and individuated forms. Truth stated in this way is not the same as the word is used about correct facts and incorrect facts. The Truth used here is capitalized to delineate the difference. Self is equally synonymous.

In Other Words

No Problem
Sentience is not any particular state of consciousness. Unbroken sentience is the quiet substratum of all states of consciousness, thoughts and apparent choice. It is deep Mystery and what scientists and scientism refer to as "the hard problem" of existence. Seeing this kind of problem with the mind is the problem as mind is not the proper tool to fathom the depth of inherent sentience or what we are. The thorn of death is a trait of the superficial mortal paradigm. As this mortal veil becomes transparent, the thorn of death is plucked away. No more problem.

In Other Words

Love is Not Something We Do

The I-thought does not know how to love, unconditionally. Love is undoable. Love already exists as presence. The doer is an insentient apparition appearing in sentient presence. This substratum of Self knows no other. Love is not a thought, remembrance, state of consciousness or lifestyle. Love IS. It may never be done or attained and all efforts to achieve such are in vain. It is in acceptance and surrender that the insentient veil thins and the primacy of love no longer has a form enrobing or differencing itself. True love stands ever-present as that primacy of existence. There is nobody else to love. There is really no "choice" to love. Love is seamless. The Ithought falls into love.

In Other Words

Anything New Will Grow Old

To hold on to any awakening experience is an attention trap of something that happened. It locks sentience in a transient memory. Anything we remember captures just the unfolding form, not sentient essence, which is always present. Form appears in presence. There is no need to remember what is right now. Now is never the past. Forms, names, thoughts unfold effortlessly, spontaneously, mysteriously, perfectly, and then pass. All things must pass. Our formless host is literally the still Now, host of everything and anything that appears new. Our story lines are a collection of new experiences that grow old. An apparition of a moving myth in stillness plagued with the burden of doer-ship. Story lines are held together and anchored by the I-thought anticipating the new while remembering the old. All things pass in motionless sentience.

In Other Words

Take the Pearl and Discard the Shell

Wisdom is shrouded in ordinariness, mysterious mythological imaginings, cultural nuances, vivid dreams, scriptures, fables and guru-disciple relationships; many with the overlay of the theological etiquette of the particular time and place it avails itself. Much like an Oyster shell with overlays, clusters and muddy environment that appears somewhat unattractive and each shell being uniquely different. There is no way to determine which shell might contain a pearl. Rarely, however, a beautiful and simple pearl is clearly revealed when the shell opens. So it is with a pearl of wisdom. In other words, when a pearl of wisdom avails itself, take the pearl as an affirmation of our own immanent intuition and discard the shell

In Other Words

Using the Eye To Find the Eye Is Futile

Sentience is inherent and a continuum. Sentience is never an other. It is our Self, which everything appears within. Sentience is the substratum of both seer and seen. That includes all experiences. Looking for this Self as if it were to be discovered, anew, is like using our eyes to find the eyes. Only in a reflection such as looking in a mirror, do we see our Self. The looker is already what is looked for.

In Other Words

Sentience Isnt a Primate Byproduct

Emerging from unbroken sentience is a beautiful revelation. Believing one is the I-thought or the body/mind or primate is just another belief fraught with brittleness. It is similar to believing one is the character in a dream. The same function of belief is not applicable in the recognition of our unbroken sentience. To delineate empirical knowledge, belief, memory and/or intellect from immanent tacit intuition is to transcend beliefs. The residuum is unbroken existence. From the outlook of unbroken sentience, all is a play of consciousness unfolding perfectly within our still Self, host of all forms. Forms are not the host of sentience. Forms appear, inhere and disappear in seamless sentience. Biology doesnt actually create sentience; biology creates the mortal myth within sentience.

In Other Words

A Word is Not What It References

Consider the word, water. Is the word, water, wet? Can it quench thirst? Is the word really water? Of course its not. Its just a word that references water, not real water. Now, consider the I-thought. Is that word or even the internal assumption, I, really who or what you are? Observe this word closely in the immediate now. Of course not, it is only an assumption, an objective letter of the alphabet that refers to the omniscient sentience that is presently aware of this I-thought that comes and goes out of silence. The silent substratum, not the I-thought assuming a locality, is what you really are. Wisdom is prior to any movement of the mind. Wisdom is not a new or changing state of consciousness. Existence is not tethered to any word, subject or object. Wisdom is what we are that illumines all states of consciousness, equally, including the I-thought.

In Other Words

Any Apparition is a Veil

The threads of the mortal veil are time, space, words, concepts, beliefs, imagination, relationships and empirical knowledge. The apparition is an exquisite mental curtain that attracts attention. The threads make up many states of consciousness and images of who we think we are and what we think we see. The veil is insentient. This veil is a busy and saturated mind. Its shear gravity of never ending knowledge lures and distracts native awareness and steals the show. Herein this mental maze is the home of the imaginary Ithought and the notion of whom we think we are. It is only a belief, an illusion, a phantom and a second guesser. The I-thought can no more change the outcome of our life than a sports narrator can change the outcome of the game being narrated.

In Other Words

Knowing We Dont Know

Many schools of knowing, religions, belief systems, books, lifestyles, theologies, cosmologies, etc. do not constitute wisdom. Knowing we dont know is wisdom. Wisdom is clear presence. Wisdom is not learned. There is no end to remembering a lot of knowledge. It still doesnt amount to wisdom. Empirical knowledge creates a walking library. All the learned ignorance will not bring peace of mind. The mind cannot know what we really are. A mystery remains a mystery. The mind can't grasp this unfathomable mystery. Accept that. We really don't know what anything really is. There are no answers. Surrender the need to know. Acceptance of the Mystery is true insight and wisdom.

In Other Words

Belief is a Lie
No need to believe in believing. Beliefs are stubborn, closed minded, divisive and have an imaginary believer, equally another belief. Beliefs conflict. Beliefs will thicken the veil, like letters carved in stone. Consider a fundamental belief like an afterlife or reincarnation. Who or what reincarnates, anyway? Does a movie screen need to reincarnate with each and every movie and with each and every character? Belief is the glue in the realm of the mortal myth. Time, space, distance and memory are all threads of belief in the tapestry of the veil of mortality and that includes reincarnation, afterlife, myths, states of consciousness, religions, theologies, ideas and the like. There are as many belief systems and religions as there are people. Who we think we are and what we think we know is a belief. Dont believe it.

In Other Words

Mortality is a Myth
The veil of mortality within eternal existence renders a dream of carnal existence, enrobing piecemeal seamless sentience as individual bodies. Stillness is quietly eternal, not so with the mortal myths that occurs within it. All these mortal states of consciousness are appearing and disappearing in eternal stillness. Just like clouds, storms, weather and rainbows do not, in any way, scathe the sky; whatever happens does not scathe our Self. Our Self is the sky of sentience and accepts everything, unconditionally, without fear. We are that acceptance, hosting human experiences, or other states of consciousness. All happenings are a mortal myth. The spell of the carnal paradigm may cease. When seen as a belief, the veil of the mortal myth is gossamer thin or absent. The Truth of nonphysical presence is Self-evident. This stillness is unutterable and irrefutable. The silent gravity of Love that is literally the very Now attracts all into it's motionless, seamless Self, yet marries and saturates all that appears in illumination. All is as it should be. It is not imagination.

In Other Words

Miracles Are Free of Doer-ship

Synchronicity never requires doer-ship or contrivance. Many magicians, conjurers, yogis, saints, warlocks, necromancers, messiahs, avatars, shaman and sorcerers falsely receive credit for doing miracles or it is thrust upon them. When somebody takes credit for magic and miracles, it is for attention, appreciation and entertainment. Miracles just happen without doer-ship. Simply abiding as innocence will manifest synchronicity naturally, appearing as miracles woven into the tapestry of ordinary life. There are no accidents. As synchronicity enjoins us, the mystery waxes mystic. That is Faith. No doer-ship is required. Synchronicity affirms this Faith. Nobody is doing anything. It is our own Faith and surrendering that allows us to witness synchronicity that disarms doer-ship. Synchronicity is always in the eye of the beholder, not what is seen. An honest person will point that out and never take any credit.

In Other Words

Be Here Now
Ponder this Now only. Is it divisible? Can it be broken up? Can you be separated from it, ever? What is its capacity? Does anything stick, ever? Is Now a continuum or fragmented? Is Now really moving through time or is time moving in the motionless Now? Can Now ever be reduced to be less than greater than what arises out of Now? What is this all-inclusive Now? Might Now be what we really are as seamless sentience? Absolutely! We are actually synonymous with Now. It is never not Now. No effort is required to be here. As stillness, the now accepts every-thing and attaches to no-thing. Stillness has no beginning or end. Now is not a thought or state of consciousness. Now is literally silent sentience. Forget all the metaphysical nomenclature. Now is nameless, not an other and always equally shared. Now makes no claim of its own.

In Other Words

The Vertical Paradigm is Actual

Are we really moving through time, horizontally held captive inside a Body as an I-thought? Not really. This mortal myth is a mesmerizing spell that the I-thought carries as a memory trail and future wish. It perpetuates the illusion of a birth-life-death paradigm of biology. It is a veiling mirage. Actually, yesterday and tomorrow are always nonexistent and make up an illusory horizontal mindset of before and after. Herein lies the significance of the Sages staff. The vertical staff stands for timeless Wisdom, the vertical paradigm without past and future. Be still and allow illusory motion to be a play of consciousness within stillness. It is just a benign dream made perfect being husbanded with formless insight. Keep the staff of Wisdom vertical without any reference to history or future. The Vertical Staff stands for that enduring Faith in the present moment where Mystery becomes mystical without a story line.

In Other Words

Acceptance is the Mightiest Prayer

Absence of the commanding primacy of the I-thought allows unconditional acceptance of what is. Acceptance is absence of doer-ship and even allows the biological body to come and go. Some call it love. Some call it God. Some call it the Self. This utter absence is what is inferred when the word, I, is used. Acceptance is the nature of this sentient unbroken substratum. Acceptance allows the masterpiece to unfold within its canvas, gracefully, without interference. Acceptance is Faith. Acceptance disarms resistance and restores peace of mind. Acceptance allows different states of consciousness as well as unconsciousness to appear and disappear without fear. Acceptance is the invocation of Faith that all things are perfect. Acceptance doesnt need an answer. Acceptance is the answer that puts a capital M on the Mystery.

In Other Words

The Eternal Dream Screen

The dream screen reflects no other in dreamless sleep, under anesthesia, before birth, in Samadhi trances, and swoons. It is just immaculate absence. The dream screen is obviously benign. Being forever constant, still and formless, it goes unnoticed. Dreams emerge within the dream screen as does the waking dream and cosmic consciousness. Dreams do not know their substratum. The dream screen eludes any memory or intellect of dream characters, yet always illumines and provides sentience. The insentient mind cannot grasp its eternal host. States of consciousness cannot exist without this dream screen. Not so with the dream screen. The dream screen exists no matter what. The dream screen is eternal, not so with the dream.

In Other Words

Faith is Not a Belief

Ponder Faith. Not faith as in a belief system or religion or school of thought. True Faith is intrinsic innocence. It need not be learned. Belief is not faith as is commonly assumed. Faith is surrender and acceptance rather than a theology, cosmology or belief system. Faith in something is an oxymoron. This is a very important discernment. Faith is actually the antithesis of belief. Belief is made up of words deeply and intractably impressed within the insentient mind. Faith is the way of sages and children. It is an open mind. Faith disarms belief systems, membership and dogma. Faith requires no thoughts, beliefs, Ideas, concepts, states of consciousness or idol of worship. Faith puts the imaginary I-thought, along with its beliefs, out of a job. Faith sees every action as already perfect. It even trumps forgiveness since with Faith; there is never a doctrine of sin to begin with.

In Other Words

Thoughts of the Thoughtless

The I-thought, along with its universe, arise together out of the thoughtless. All states of consciousness appear out of thoughtlessness. They cannot be broken apart. They are all equal threads in the tapestry of the veil. The first and root thought is the I-thought. Notice when awakening from a dream how smooth and seamless the sense of sentience segues from thoughtless deep sleep to dream to waking with total non-attachment. This is a vivid clue. Thoughtless sentience exists as unbroken substratum. It is not something we can do or not do. The screen reflecting the movie doesnt assert itself into the movie, nor can the movie change the screen. The thoughtless accepts whatever arises, effortlessly. When thoughts are seen arising within the thoughtless, all of creation is a graceful play of consciousness.

In Other Words

Meditation is Not Something We Do

Meditation is not an effort or group sport. Being in simple repose in the midst of action, unencumbered, is meditation. It has no form. When we have a glass full of muddy water, there is nothing we can do to make it clear. Let it be and clarity will naturally come about, naturally. That is the mechanism of meditation. The clarity is Now, without distracting and veiling thoughts distracting us. Divinity is always in the eye of the beholder. Meditation experiences are transient. The mind will never grasp what we already are. Nobody will ever graduate as a result of having an experience. The more we seek these experiences, the more veiling will manifest. Meditation has no expectations. Any sought-after experiences in meditation create deep impressions in horizontal memory where their grandeur haunts our attention and holds us captive seeking a reoccurrence. None of it is really permanent. Meditation is not an experience.

In Other Words

Practice Makes Perfect

If we practice anything, like playing a piano, we really do it. We dont pretend to play. Practice makes perfect. Spiritual practice is keeping attention free and being our Self. It is natural and ordinary. Spiritual practice is not a matter of seeking the truth or trying to know the Truth. Practice has nothing to do with lifestyles or models of behavior. Practice is being unbroken awareness. It is not pretentious. It is simple and natural. It is the practice of being as we are, not the activity of doing something to find it. Seeking is not practice. Seeking is the mantra of lack. Residual seeking is just an embedded mental tendency unwinding. Let it be. Keep the jewel of Faith. Practice this.

In Other Words

Every Action is Perfect

Unfolding events of life are really an exquisite play of intangible consciousness within unbroken silent sentience. Seeing such, my will becomes Thy Will, perfectly Free Will that does not suffer the dilemma of apparent choice. It simply is. That reveals that every action is perfect. Call it the Mother, Shakti, Holy Ghost, Sita, Ma Kali, Miracles or Energy. If it moves, it is the movie, an exquisite apparition. Honor it but dont fall for it. Allow life to unfold with a sense of awe, surrender and grace, whatever that might look like or be. Synchronicity will enjoin us and we discover inherent Wisdom. Regrets and frets vanish. The doctrine of sin falls away. All is simply as it should be. Not one thing or event arising need be avoided. Any seeming response is perfection as well. Simply live as if we are writing on water. Take no thought. Leave no tracks. Take no credit. Dont look back. With acceptance, all forms are sacred. The best form to worship becomes every form.

In Other Words

The Sixth Sense is Sentience

This sixth sense is neither verb nor noun. It is nonphysical. It is Wisdom, the domicile of the wise. Not accounting for the Sixth Sense is like the story of the tenth man; the ten men crossing the river in a boat and each counting only nine men after crossing to the other side to verify everybody made it safely and each forgetting to count their own self, the tenth man. The discovery is counting the Self. The same is so with the five sensory senses, the sixth sense is the Self, the Now. The Sixth Sense is the only sentient sense, illumining the carnal senses. As the unbroken thread of sentience, the insentient senses are strung upon it like pearls on a string. The sixth sense is immanent unspoken intuition, not dependent on the body-mind or world. The five bodily senses are not sentient. The self-evident Now is the immortal sixth extrasensory sense and what we are.

In Other Words

Turning Inside-Out is Liberation

Should the I-thought vanish, the sense of local sentience defaults to infinite. The primacy of existence no longer has a noun to hang its hat upon. Sentience defaults to the infinite. The body, mind, world and even the I-thought arise and dissolve within this infinite Now. Biology never was the source of sentience. It is the other way around. Sentience is prior to biology. All form is an apparition appearing in absolute sentience. Everything rises and sets in this formless awareness. We are turned inside out, sans ego. The mortal belief never was. Spirit and being are always singular and stand at infinity, causeless. All are of it but dont all recognize it. There are no flags planted in sentience. Nobody may lay claim. Being immaculately still, this sentient Now exhibits no name of its own, makes no claim of its own and allows all names and claims. Stillness need not assert itself. No need to be confused by this or that name. Truth is still the Truth regardless of what it is called.

In Other Words

Any Paradigm May Shift

A picture can be viewed in different ways. A word can have two meanings. A snake can be seen in a coiled rope. Things are not always as they seem. Truth is the ultimate paradigm shift. It is the most profound of all paradigm shifts. Truth is absolutely unimaginable and unknowable by the mortal mind. This paradigm shift is free of the ownership of religions and yet validates the essence of all religions. It is that which holy nomenclature references. It is that which messiahs point to, that which poets sing to, that which Sages proclaim the Wisdom of, that which devotees bend the knee to, that which inspires leaders, artists and visionaries. It is the essence of fables and mythology. We are not individuals having a sacred experience, as it appears, we are immanent Now having human experiences.

In Other Words

Spiritual Experience is an Oxymoron

All experience is temporary or transient; a disappearing trail of energy. Experience is duality. The primacy of being is veiled, enrobed and seduced by insentient forms. There is anxiety and fear within the imaginary entrapment. Mortality can only remember an experience, not the substratum. Truth doesnt see itself. We are not the experience or experiencer, even if that experience is seen as spiritual. Spirit is singular. Experiences make up the individuated story line that chains sentience to mortality. That includes spiritual experience. A paradigm shift is not an objective experience.

In Other Words

Sharing
Sharing is not a contrivance. All is grace. Everyone is sharing nonphysical existence, first hand. This is the paradigm shift that is so liberating. Freedom to confess and affirm that Oneness, already shared, is the highest common denominator with one another. It is impossible to give Truth to another. Truth may only be affirmed. It is communion that confirms love. Being in love with one another authenticates non-physical existence in a joyful way. This outlook frees our wisdom from the ownership of religions and orthodoxy while at the same time, offers these institutions a sincere reason to be, if need be. It exposes dogma, the charlatans, tollbooths at the well of our Being, the dead talking to the dead, the spiritual marketplace and carrot stick quackery. We cannot enlighten an other that does not exist. We only share.

In Other Words

The Path to NowHere

Any path or pointer is away from right here. The existing paradox of life, as we know it is fraught with fear, frets and regrets in the storm of animation. Empirical knowledge only imagines a way back home, while home is overwhelmingly present. Words flow from the tip of the tongue that reference what is already Now. But words dont constitute Wisdom. Words fall far short of shared unbroken silence. Any path that leads away is imagination. Any movement is distraction. No contrived path will be better than what fate has in store. Mind has not and never will fathom the depth of what we are. The mind is quick to travel. The knowing mind looking for Truth is like grasping for sky. The heart of Now cant be other than here. It must remain Now. We cant go to nowhere.

In Other Words

Stillness Doesnt Move

Stillness is just that, stillness. Stillness is unmovable, omniscient and omnipresent, already standing at infinity. Stillness is the Self. If it moves, its the movie. The movie needs the stillness but the stillness doesnt need the movie. Now is stillness. Stillness never moves, emits, transmits, wiggles, changes, shines, vibrates, radiates or asserts itself. Stillness remains still, always. Being still, it never began. Not moving, it will never stop. Past and future emerge spontaneously from the very heart of stillness bidding to enrobe still sentience within form to make different forms piecemeal sentience. How exquisitely subtle! So seductive, it forms an illusion that the Now is moving through time among itself. Nevertheless, Now remains the unbroken substratum of all movement.

In Other Words

The Holy Man

In many cultures and traditions, a holy man is held in high esteem. A hierarchy naturally forms, with autocratic rule, god squads and disguised forms of feudalism. Organized to attract seekers and to perpetuate the search, there are few if any "graduates" in these camps. Equality is in speech only. Mythology is taken literally. Freedom of speech is infringed upon. Initiates use exotic nomenclature and wear holy camouflage. Out comes the dais and paraphernalia. Few are willing to confess genuine equality of vision, much less, live it. It is the antithesis of equality of vision. Few are willing to break the taboo of confessing equality with the holy man. Proselytizing sets in. Cults form. The chosen ones are set apart. The scene becomes a meal ticket. Silence is peddled as aspirants are held in subjugation. The game of one-upmanship takes hold and the intellect gains the high ground. Don't buy into it.

In Other Words

Truth is Priceless
Silence never feels a need to charge a dime when shared. When there is no other, there is no reciprocity and peace prevails. Money is an exchange for goods and services. The still silence goes without saying or paying. Truth can't be bought, brought, packaged, sent or sold with any assuredness. Grace happens by grace. Grace is not contrived or imagined. Lack of money is not an obstacle to grace. Truth is not a commodity. Selling this silence is like selling sunshine. It is our birthright. When Jesus passed the plate, it had food on it for sharing. Jesus had a day job. He was a carpenter. Jesus shared Truth, freely. No need to put a price on Truth and then peddle it.

In Other Words

Love, More Gracious Than a Name

Words that reference a higher power have been a work in progress and edification for eons. It is even more so in this Information Age. We cannot simply erase or ignore the influence it has on global activities, especially in religious beliefs. Edification of the current nomenclature of and about God enables circumspection, which is edifying. Intuition affirms a higher power that is not an other, yet not under our ego's control. An intellectual acceptance of our sentient essence loosens the grip of individual belief. Love that is shared as an equality of vision is worthy of our veneration, regardless of what we call it. Good company fosters love. Venerating Truth is venerating God. Nobody is as wise as all of us. There is grace that affirms our nameless oneness in essence that is the antithesis of antiquated religious beliefs that separate rather than unite. This oneness or ground of being is inherently empathetic and kind and more gracious than proselytizing a name.

In Other Words

The Be of Affirmation
It is natural for human beings to grow, struggle, mature, open, flower and bear fruit. As we naturally open up and flower, a "Be" of affirmation appears is some way or other that fits our unique disposition and manifestation. The flower is pregnant with Truth. The "Be" of affirmation is never an other. The "Be" is a natural reflection that reveals a mutual continuum of oneness, at the perfect time, as the flower is ready. The Be pollinates and affirms the subtle intuition. The "Be" may be in any conceived form or even the formless. The flower falls away after affirmation allowing the fruit to mature and ripen majestically in its own unique way. There are no role models. An affirmation need not be a holy man. All is naturally unfolding without the need of pretentious spiritual materialism usurping credit for our maturity. Ultimately, all of creation becomes our Self, affirming itself, rather than appearing piecemeal as different holy people, books, pilgrimages, experiences or places. There is no other. The Be of affirmation affirms it.

In Other Words

Looking In a Perfect Mirror

Anything may be is a perfect mirror of still seamless sentience; a mirror that not only reflects but offers a penetrating continuum of moveless heartfelt sentience. The mirror is ready whenever we are, whatever that might be. The reflection is true and not an other, so to speak. It is affirmation of mutual immortality. Nobody home. What you see is what you are.

In Other Words

Take the Message, Leave the Fable

The story of The Wizard of Oz is an example of a genuine fable. It is playful and nobody is going to fall into a fundamentalist lifestyle over it. Loved by everyone, the ordinary is the takeaway. We all already have what we are looking for. The Wizard of Oz, including the snake oil salesman, is as good as it gets. Thinking we have something other people don't have is erroneous. It is anything but Love and equality of vision. There is no need to take the fable or myth literally or to worship it. Let the story fall away while it affirms immanent tacit intuition. Take the message and leave the messenger as an equal.

In Other Words

Trust Totos Intuition

In Frank Baums story of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Dorothys pet, Toto, represents intuition. We all have intuition. Toto is leading the story back home. At one point in the story, Toto pulls the curtain back covering The Wizard of Oz at just the perfect time to reveal an extraordinarily acting, but ordinary human being. Toto is an indelible thread in life. Toto happens prominently when idolatry or deification reaches the breaking point. Trust Toto. Toto is a blessing. Toto assures equality of vision is recognized and sustained. Only in equality are we empowered. Intuition leads us back home. In other words, Theres no place like home.
